Watch as all the bleeding hearts come out and dump shit on him now

The Children, will somebody PLEASE think of the children :D

Seriously though I think it's a sensible decision. I think Bock knows what he did was terrible (for lack of a better word), and it appears he is willing to look at ways to prevent a situation like the one he was in from happening again.

Of course if he does it again then I'd expect a much, much more severe penalty.

Good to see that Bocks in, we really needed him for this game. :thumbsu:
Although I think that he wouldn't of learnt a lesson since it was only a one game suspention.

Lets hope it hasn't affected his performance.

If the incident was as serious as it's been played out, then its possible he could be a bit fragile. If it wasn't, then the events of the past week will be like water off a duck's back. The cynic in me says that the AFC's communications team pulled off a blinder last week, but we won't know that for a while.

I hope this doesn't mean that Stevens is out :(.
But good to see him back :thumbsu: it will be funny if he's not actually picked to play though :p

Riggy, I reckon the he would have learnt his lesson when he spent that time in the slammer. It would have hit home then and the bun fight since is just the aftermarth.
You watch him play one of his best games ever!!!!

Not the token one week.

What a LIE that was.

I see what your saying, but does suspension actually help in his rehabilitation. If you were to do such a thing is sitting at home and not going to work actually going to help you?

Possibly not the best decision in terms of image (or being seen doing something), but for Bock as an individual it may be. Part of his rehab may be getting things back to normal?

Well the definate if Gill Out and Bock in now I guess.

hmmm any room for Griffin, Sellar, Shirley or Cook?

In Sellar's case, it depends on how Stevens pulls up.
Cook won't play, having not even been named as an emergency last week.
Shirley vs Petrenko would have been an interesting selection room debate, could go either way.
Griffin no chance, with 2 ruckmen already in the side (Tip & Maric). Will be named as an emergency again.

Jacky might be a smokey for selection this week. Has been training well according to his green guersey selection and his BOG performance for the Eagles.

Really hope Shirley doesn't come in. No offense to him, but it would be a negative selection. He can't stop Gaz, we should attack him and make the most of what WE can.

Agree on Sellar and Stevens.

But I think Anchoring Tippett in the forward 50 would be good, allowing Griffin to play.

Also as Spexau said, Jacky could be a smokey.

I suggest you go back and look at the game against Geelong here last year. Geelong supporters after the game were raving about the job that Shirley did on Ablett, that no one has been able to hold him quiet like Shirley did that game. He has stopped him before, who is to say that he can't stop him again?
