Booing of Adam Goodes tonight

I said Goodes is non-conciliatory. He has made this clear in key-note speeches. One would hope that as AOTY he would have the view of working toward a better future for all Australians, rather than just banging on about a past that we all know about and nearly unanimously agree was rotten. His views are old hat. Kind of like Harry Lumumba.

The problem is, we don't all know about the past and are yet to properly acknowledge much of it.
"Let's just move on" sounds great. But it's just not possible. Confronting the past is the key issue here. We can never move on until we do so.

But then, you've really narrowed the focus to an issue of race only.

Which athletic achievement would that be? Him becoming the first Indigenous World Boxing champion in his weight division? Australia has had other boxing champions in the past, Im sure their AOTY awards are in the mail.

Dozens of things happen every game which could potentially injure opposition players. If you're hanging onto one incident a year on, I think you need to get over it and let it go.

IMHO The error was made a few days later
In a press conference Goodes says " Today racism has a face, the face of a 13 year old girl"
What she did in a split second was totally wrong, but what Goodes did after days of thinking in a prepared speech could have had catastrophic results for a minor

That's factually inaccurate. Don't put something in quotes that is not a quote. And also, why do so many people on BigFooty chose to ignore the end of the sentence? Seems an odd thing to do unless you have a preconceived prejudice.
