On top of losing experienced players in Cunico and Grey, appears we have also lost James Parsons - source HS

Park Orchards’ off-season has been headlined by the signing of former Geelong Cat, James Parsons. He spent 2017-19 at Kardinia Park before a stint with Carlton in 2021 where he made the VFL Team of the Year, before spending ’22 with Box Hill

Would not have minded giving this kid a rookie spot.
DBR isn't on the nominations list for the draft funnily enough.

Strange one, would have thought given the mass of players that usually nominate even with no hope, he would have easily been another buried in the list. Must have been deliberate for some reason.

ex-Richmond and WCE player Patrick Naish signs with Box Hill

Last few days’ announcements see Max Hall, Jake Arundell, Hugh Beasley stay on and ex-Carlton VFL inside mid Joel Trudgeon join up

DBR obviously saw the writing on the wall with Ramsden coming in mid-season and Meek in the off-season. It's a shame because he looked like a developable prospect. If Box Hill can manage to re-sign Ben Cavarra, they'll be ahead of where they were last year in terms of the quality of VFL listed players.

The mass exodus of experienced players from Hawthorn will hurt Box Hill as much, if not more than it hurts the Hawks for 2023. As much as Shiels and Howe needed to be moved on, they will be big holes in the Box Hill side.

This is about 5th hand information so absorb it as you will, but there is a good chance we sign Ben Ronke who was delisted by the Swans and who could forget the 7 he kicked against us that Friday night at the G!

Callum Brown would have waited for the outcome of the AFL Draft/Rookie selections before signing. He is an elite VFL player and a great signing. The club will currently be in discussion with a number of other players previously on AFL lists including resigning Ben Cavarra.

October 2021 - Kevin Sheehan named Ben De Bolfo in his top medium tall defender draft prospects:
Northern Knights, NAB League / Heidelberg FC
State: Victoria Metro
Height: 189cm
Weight: 80kg
Date of Birth: 21/06/02

Medium defender capable of matching up on taller opponents using his anticipation and intercept marking to rebound for his team. Defends well one on one and sets up the play with his precise decision making and execution on his preferred left foot. Was one of the best for Victoria Metro in its NAB AFL Under-19s Challenge match against Victoria Country, and he played six matches for the Northern Knights for an average of 14.7 disposals and four marks.

In 2021 central.rookieme.com profile Joel Trudgeon:
Height: 185cm
Weight: 90kg
D.O.B: 13-08-2002
Leagues: NAB League Boys
A tough inside ball winner with supremely clean hands and great competitiveness, Joel Trudgeon was unlucky not to earn representative honours. He skippered the Northern Knights after being overlooked last year, averaging 29.6 disposals, 10 tackles, six marks, and one goal across seven games. He is not as damaging or versatile as others, but is already a good size and has gained VFL experience with Carlton.
STRENGTHS:
  • Contested game
  • Clean hands
  • Accumulation
  • Production
  • Defensive pressure
IMPROVEMENTS:
  • Versatility
  • Hurt factor

Think this rumor is dead - there has been no more talk about it. A shame, he could have caused plenty of havoc at this level similar to what Ben Crocker has done for Carlton's VFL side
