my fellow pie lovers, brace yourselves to cop alot of shit this week, as we are about to be demolished by the tigers.
no davis, didak, o'brien, pendlebury, dale thomas, leigh brown, nathan brown, beams, wood, johnson, toovey, swan or heath shaw
i dunno about you boys, but even if it is the tigers, i'd say our chances are pretty slim with all these players out...

A Richmond supporter did a rough team vs team line up on their boards, pretty confident to say it will be a comfortable win for the Pies.

hahaha yeah just took a look at their lineup - not great....but still, those are 13 pivotal players in our lineup

im usually the most confident pies supporter you will find, however i believe if we do win it will be by the barest of margins

Chris Newman, Brett Deledio, Jack Riewoldt, Ben Cousins, Trent Cotchin, Richard Tambling, Kelvin Moore, Dustin Martin, Daniel Connors, Shane Edwards and Robin Nahas.

While not as good as our outs, they are basically the Richmond equivalents.

We still have Guns in the Side in:

Luke Ball
Darren Jolly
Jack Anthony
Paul Medhurst
Steele Sidebottom
Travis Cloke
Presti

i really couldn't care less if we cop shit for losing a practice game. it's going to be a rough season for tigers fans, if they win, let them have their time, we'll just wait for the real stuff. go pies.

Even if we did lose, which I don't think we will it's a pre-season game for nothing in which both clubs are playing very different line ups to their best and will probably try players out of position etc. As such it has almost no reflection on where the clubs are at and therefore I personally won't care too much.

you still want a win though, a loss to the TIGERS would be very disapppointing

No one has slit their wrists or hung themselves down at the cattery yet

I have to say I don't care if we get flogged.
I want to see the new fllas all getting some game time and if that means we lose a praccy to Richmond so be it.

This is about our season not a skins versus shirts at Optus/Visy/Leopard Tank Park.

Big Shae MacNamara is named in the squad. Give him a game! Its pre-season, and its the Tigers. We have nothing to lose by playing him.
Great to see JA back in the side too. Give him a couple of games to get ready for round 1.

im not saying im unhappy that the younger players are getting their opportunities....im just warning you all to brace yourselves ;)

Bigger news if we lose this one dayer to the sheep shaggers then if we lose a praccy match.

So you are saying this isn't a good 22?

F: Paul Medhurst Chris Dawes Jack Anthony
HF: Tarkyn Lockyer Travis Cloke Brent Macaffer
CEN: Sharrod Wellingham Steele Sidebottom John McCarthy
HB: Simon Buckley Ben Reid Jarrad Blight
B: Nick Maxwell Simon Prestigiacomo Tyson Goldsack
FOLL: Darren Jolly Luke Ball Shane O'Bree
BENCH: Josh Fraser Jaxson Barham Jarryd Blair Tristan Francis

It's comfortably better than Richmond's lineup of something like:

FF: Morton - Post - Vickery
HF: Taylor - Polak - Collins
C: Polo - Tuck - Jackson
HB: Nason - Rance - McMahon
FB: King - Thursfield - McGuane
Foll: Simmonds - White - Farmer

INT: Graham, Gourdis, Browne, Dea, Hicks, Webberly, Grimes, Contin, Roberts

Now, our team's forwards are better than theirs, our defenders are better, and our midfield is better. We have multiple AA selections and Best and Fairest winners in our squad. Almost everyone in our team has played finals football, compared with TWO from Richmond.

That said, Richmond beat Geelong by 54 points last week - Did Geelong need to brace themselves? It's a practice match... Nobody really cares about the result.

But to suggest that our lineup is so poor that we have to accept a loss to a severely weakened Richmond lineup as a foregone conclusion is ludicrous.
