I had Robo in our top 5 players this year. ​

How Atkins was even getting games this season was baffling, he was trash and doesn't deserve to be on that list.

You can fight with every Victorian club as an RFA, who don't want to trade, and we can grab a top 5 pick

Roos did it with Melbourne when he was there and traded pick 2 (Kelly) for Tyson and pick 9, then trade in some hardened bodies as well. Youth is not the answer and they have had enough top draft pick of the years. The allure of pick 1 and 2 make people to tempted.

Roos way overrated Tyson, who had only been at GWS for 2 years, and just 13 games. And even taking into account it was Dom Tyson + Christian Salem, Melbourne would've been way better off just selecting Josh Kelly. Or even Marcus Bontempelli.

The other pick they gave up in that trade was pick 20 (slid to 22 after F/S and Academy bidding). Players available at that pick that they missed out on the opportunity of selecting include Matt Crouch, Rory Lobb, Zach Merret and Alex Pearce.

Especially since they've since shipped off Tyson for a bag of chips.

And then they traded pick 2 and 18 for a cooked Wayne Carey that no one at North wanted anything to do with and hadn't played since 2001.

I can't agree more, one more year and Adelaide still can play match or not to match next year. If he get injured next year Adelaide might as well keep him at a cheaper rate and offer him 2 years deal instead of 4 to 5.

The loss of McGovern, Cameron and Lever. 3 of the best 23s at the time, Charlie especially hurts if u have seen him play. Then the older players getting older and not performing as well.

Don’t think we are a a bad as people think, most of what we are trading is players not in our next premiership window.

The real question is do GC want to improve or not. If they want to improve, they’d trade pick 1 and 2 or both SA boys and instantly get better and more competitive. If it’s the Crouches or someone else, or they will be stuck in a cycle until they fold.

With the AFL giving them extra picks, it’s the year to trade. I just think they are to scared or to dumb to do it

I would say 2 for Tyson and 9 was a major bust for Melbourne considering Tyson now is at NM and struggled to crack their team Salem is good but Kelly is an absolute jet, however your point is taken.

I reckon the Suns are happy to trade any picks outside 1 & 2 this year with Rowell, Anderson and Budarick being a good trio for us to bring in this year.

All of our other picks (2019 and 2020) would be up for grabs.

Every player in the comp is at risk of injury so that doesn't come into consideration

I suppose brad has the most to lose in about $300k

Next year though he may shop himself to Vic clubs being an RFA and see if he gets his million dollar pay day whoever has cap space

Might be unpopular with others but I would consider it. We need quality midfield reinforcements, however, I reckon it doesn't matter, sounds like he is re-signing with you lads when your new coach signs on.

Just wait for another year as you stated earlier , don't keep changing I am happy for Adelaide to get compensated a top 5 pick next year , be confident that keeping him is the right decision and move on. I don't think pick 15 is enough and pick 1 aor pick 2 is doing another bad deal like Weller and not willing to learn or improve from past mistake.

IF your first is up for next year will it be better than where we finish next year, if it its yes let him go, if we are going to finish below you then no he stays

Remember Brad has the most to lose by staying on for another year no one else

I agree that you should try and get max value for him, as all clubs should do.

As we are likely to finish bottom 2 it would be foolish to trade that for Crouch but I can see why you would ask.

Personally I hope he stays
