Dons have been much improved over that period.

Think they’ll surprise a few teams this season
how young the Bombers are will see the form and effort flutuate imho.

I hope and pray we back it up against a seething Gold Coast but would not surprise if GCS tore us apart wanting blood after an unexpected loss

You think you have a premiership coach and club, just like Welsh said yesterday?

It's amazing what a win does hey? I haven't look at the fixture and who Dons play this week, but I expect you to lose by 100 points.

Unfortunately he won’t see out the season

The only need two more wins and he'll coach next season.

If Welsh is saying this: “We’re of absolute belief that Brad will be our next premiership coach. There’s no reason for us to think otherwise,” Welsh told this masthead, when asked about Scott’s position.

After a 17 loss streak prior to their win against Melbourne. Then on what basis do you think they'll sack him this season while still on contract? It's possible that Essendon will double down and extend the contract if they win 6 or 7 games this season.

are expectations and goals the same thing as ambitions and dreams?

He's quoting verbatim your CEO.

and? as I said, he is simply trying to get cheap clicks.

It is a running jokes amongst Essendon supporters and a fact not lost on us is that all Jay Clark does is bag Essendon.

I don't care about Jay Clark's opinion.

I just read the quotes from your CEO.. It's convienent you like to do your usual trolling here Yoda and ignore the most salient points.

You don't address this because it's too hard to face the reality of this even on a public forum as an anonymous person. I don't know why you care so much. Your reputation on this forum is what it is now. You ain't winning any arguments.

I dont know if you have ever been apart of a team environment but why would you go out and say, geez, it would be nice to finish third bottom and not actually chase a flag.

If you believe everything you read in the media then once again, do I have a deal for you

Seriously who gives a shit? If a CEO said anything other than that then the coach would have to be out the door the very next day.

When your reputation on here is such garbage that you have to create a new account then you can hardly call out others.

Your CEO should be more tempered in how he espouses his views. Where's the wiggle room in his words if Essendon doesn't win a premiership under Scott?

There's a difference between saying "Brad Scott is our coach, and we see him as the best guy for us moving forward"

To...

"Brad WILL BE our next premiership coach".

I don't remember President or CEO at Hawthorn even getting "Sam Mitchell WILL BE our next premiership coach." I mean even now we wouldn't go as far too say that. You do realise there's 18 other teams? How are you beating them to a premiership? What is the groundwork that Essendon is building now for that to happen, or is it just words?

a really quick google search came up with this zinger from Jeffrey, January 17, 2007

However, never forget, and your Board is driven by this goal, we will only ever consider ourselves, and be judged by others, when we have won a Premiership. So clearly we failed to deliver our goal in 2007. However, we have laid a solid base for 2008.

so yeah, it does happen

And I guess, this is just more, "im happy to be here as you are suggesting RCAB from Jeffrey Kennett

Newly reinstated Hawks president Jeff Kennett has declared a bold vision that will, if successful, see the club add another two flags in the next five years, and seven by 2050.

How convienent I can't quote those two posts Yoda_, don't want me immoratilse those last two posts?

Strong North Melbourne mid/late 2010's vibes at Essendon at the moment. A lot of half back chip mark to limit damage. No intention to actually try and win the game.
is that why we kicked the 4th highest score of the weekend?

Close to getting a win against Gold Coast away, has to give him a few more points years in the bank
