Some Carlton fans, (impeded by an obvious lack of football knowledge, intelligence and humanity) beleive they are actually happy they took Walker instead of McLEan.

My tip is Brock to get into the Top 10 midfielders in the AFL this season, i think he's got all the tools to be one of the best and Melbourne are very lucky to have him

You kept praising the virtues of GT, despite end-on-end finals coaching debacles, until he was exposed as a dud, and sacked by the Pres. I note you quietly slipped off the GT bandwagon after that. I actually like Walker, I'm just realistic about his potential, and his output to date.

I think he could be a really dangerous flanker, able to pinch hit on the wing.

Walker has a mile more natural talent, much more upside, is taller, is faster, has a massive leap, has leadership qualities, and is a potential superstar. Brock is more consistent, but is basically a small in and under midfielder of just above average ability, but will never be a star. Depends what you want I guess - a reliable, consistent, yet not spectacular contributer (Brock), or a more gifted player, with massive potential and X-factor (Walker). Absolutely delighted we have Andrew Walker. The Blues focus is on pace, height and extreme talent, so Walker fits our list philosophy perfectly. Dees are just happy to maintain a consistent middle-of-the-road finish to delay merger plans with the Hawks, much like the past 40+ years, so I guess little Brock suits that objective.

Yes.

But they're different types of players and they should be judged on the way their coaches have played them, not the position they have played and Walker has more potential to improve than Mclean. The Kouta mark II comparison was over the top when he started and after he starred in his debut game, but it looks on the money now and he's going to be a rock on the HBF or wing for Carlton for many years to come.
