You know the answer to the question already. The poll is redundant. CP is a flog, everybody knows this, hardly a surprise that he would come out with a claim such as that.

That would be very interesting. Both have talent, both have struggled with injuries.

Probably Sylvia just, has a bit of Ricciuto about him.

Actually the more appropriate poll would be Sylvia v McLean, particularly if you only had one pick in the Top 5 of the 2003 draft.

Not really. Everyone would take McLean ahead of Sylvia, even though McLean was considered a bit of a bolter at the time (Wiseby rated him late second round).

Walker was pick 2 and Sylvia pick 3, so there is a big chance Carlton were picking between the two.

I don't remember seeing Sylvia's name linked to Carlton in early draft talk. I do remember Tenace initially being talked up as a potential #2 pick (Cooney was always linked to #1), but as draft day came closer Walker's name was linked to Carlton.

There is no question that McLean has been the better player so far, but if you were to redo the Top 10 picks (only looking at players taken in the Top 10), it would look something like this:
1. Cooney
2. McLean
3. Walker
4. Ray
5. Sylvia
6. Clarke
7. Bradley
8. Tenace
9. Dunn
10. Trotter

Most people would agree, this is an extremely uninspiring Top 10.
