What on Earth is this Port-Crows supporter on about now. lol. He may have overdosed on irrelevant textbook definitions and neglected the thinking process. Hilarious. Anyway. I think what we have here is Crows supporters in desperate need to blame someone over an accidental incident. It was apparent on the day even - the Port-Crows players and their supporters didn't really know who to remonstrate with after the accident. It was all kinda strange. :)

Parrot, no one ever accused you of being a thinker, but english is still supposed to be your first language.

I've always said I didn't think Browne did much wrong, but they are penalising players for putting themselves into compromised postions. which explains the 2 outcomes.

1 lot thought he was negligent, and another lot didn't. If I had to choose one outcome I'd personally rather see, it's him getting off.

much like you've been here. :)

the above bolded quote would apply to every AFL Footballer who dive in for a contest on the football every flipping god damn week going by your logic then m8.
For god sake....... go & watch a game of flipping netball if you do not want to see contact made & possessions contested for.

Lets just have every AFL footballer think about "putting themselves in a situation that they don't have control of" before they go for the ball.

Get a grip you fool or support Netball. You are a joke

funny isn't it. you try and have a reasonable discussion about something, and one of the remedial kids wants to repeat things his dad said to appear hard.

hows about letting the adults talk?

let them, justice is sweet and i am just so rapt for Brown, he has had his integrity and fair play questioned by those feral perthetic scum that follow that rabble the cows they should all be ashamed of themselves but they will be to stupid to realise it.

Geez you've been on the angry pills lately phantom.

Didn't know a loss could piss you off this much.

I giggled at the bolded bit :D I wonder what you classify Carlton as, if we're a rabble yet higher on the ladder than you?

Good to see that common sense prevailed and Browney is free to play.

Browne had no real option but to protect himself from getting injured. Porplyzia was pushed into him so the natural reaction is to brace oneself for a bump in an attempt to minimize body contact.

Sure, it's a shame that Porps got quite severely injured as a result, but there is no way Browney is at fault.

What a lot of waffle. lol. You sound like a text-book re-bleater without much common sense or thinking ability. Let me break it down for you. It's a game of footy. It's a contact sport. That means players hit each other. The incident was an accident. One player accidentally made nasty contact with another. Not sure what all this "putting themselves in compromising situations" fluff originates from. Hilarious. :)

stupid responce from a stupid poster, i can live with the lose, remember the thread topic BROWN COPS THREE, not Carlton lost what i and many other Carlton supporters should be getting from you lot is a big SORRY for being so stupid while we were visiting your board, and you want to talk about rabble, oh yes we have had some hard years, you guys are now entering it old list crap style of play, STUPID SUPPORTERS your on the way down and if you have one brain cell left you will know it, thats why you hang around other clubs boards just like a dying beast casping for your last breath, trying to hang onto something good like a reborn CARLTON wishing it was you and your dying rabble the cows, your responce is already noted so dont bother BYE.

Glad to see him get off. Didn't deserve to be suspended in the first place. Just goes to show what a farce the system is really.

You're talking to an adult just for the record .

If anything, you appear to be more of the little girl yourself.

it's ok Parrot.
it's alright to ask for help if you don't understand. ;)

Some real justice there for Browne. There is no way he should have ever been cited. I'd love to know what the MRP saw that the rest of us football supporters didn't see.

I'd imagine that most Crow supporters would be bleeding about this news.

Really, you can't make sense of any of the gradings.

Negligent = no.......it was accidental. If Browne wanted to bump him he would have closed his body to protect himself and used the leading, or left shoulder........he was as open to injury as Porps, but obviously faired much better.

Severe impact = yes it was.........its a contact sport. Severe impact is the nature of modern footy.

Head high contact = yest it was............but did Browne initiate the head high bit? No Porps was off balance and falling due to being pushed by Thornton.

Edit.:thumbsu:;)

Geez, you are clever.

Please tell me he didn't get yellow carded for that?

Let's hope you never end up a Judge (not that we'll have to hope i don't think).

The dude's got brain bruising - how in hell could that be anything other than "sever" on the contact scale ?

The thing people are questioning is the "negligent" adjudication. Accidental/unavoidable seem more likely to me.

I was suffering from a late night last night.

I did of course, mnean that the negligent could've been argued but the others were clear, don't ask what I was thinking.

Bit silly that he got off, not saying he shouldn't have or whatever because I've already stated my opinions on that, but why give him the 3 weeks to begin with then.

I understand that the MRP and tribunal are different things, but that's silly within itself really.

The three weeks was always harsh but he deserved at least 1 IMO.

Seems like everyone's getting cards, I feel left out, how can I get one?

Go to Bay 13 and start a thread comparing Matthew Knights to Tom Hanks (in Philadelphia) mind you, you'll end with the red, instead of yellow variety :D :D

I'm a bit surprised myself. Perhaps a red card would have been more appropriate. Please don't question the moderating on our board.

I'm not, just wondering how it can be vastly different to ours.

The amount of Carlton supporters that came onto ours and started bagging us..... and they didn't even get a yellow.

Just thought it might have been a little more consistent.

Nevermind.
