This may not concern too many people,
however, the brownlow odds are out for each team, and with a lot of value in the Adelaide group, im looking to lay a straight out bet on one of your players.

Who does everyone think will poll the most votes? not a roughy, just your general opinion based on this years performance and past ability to poll.

Is Scott Thompson looking pretty good again this year?

Thanks guys

here the odd's:

3903
THOMPSON Scott 3.50 $
3901 EDWARDS Tyson 3.75 $
3906 Players Not Quoted 4.25 $
3905 VINCE Bernie 4.25 $
3902 GOODWIN Simon 6.50 $
3904 TIPPETT Kurt 21.00

Thomo usually polls very well with the umps and has had a very good year.

Vince is a real go, though you never know how the umpires recognise the younger players, but he's a nice odd.

Very hard to predict how it will go, Thompson usually polls well but Vince has been very very good. Seeing as the commentators get Vince, VB and Mackay all mixed up I wonder if the umpires do as well? That could potentially hurt his chances also :P

I'm predicting that at the half-way point of the season Edwards will be in the top 10 of the whole count. Faded away a bit after he missed those few weeks midseason, but if Thompson doesn't poll as well as expected, he may have enough votes to get over the line

sportsbet.com.au and sportingbet.com.au both have the market up, but sportsbets odds are much better (SportsBet has Edwards, Vince and Thompson all at 4.50, while sportingbet has Thompson at 3.25, Edwards at 3.50 and Vince at 4.50)

Where can you do this bet? I can only find leader after round 11, on both sites.

They've possibly taken it down for a bit while they update the odds, try again in a few hours.

I'd go Vince, then Thompson, then Goodwin.

Btw Graham Johncock should surely be AA this year but probably will just miss again. Porplyzia a chance if 2 small forwards (rather than resting mids) are chosen, but LeCras comes first imo.

Already got my mandatory tenner on Bernie at $6 and it's looking better and better every game. Really confident about this one.

As Wall-e said it's always tough with the younger players but if I recall correctly Bernie polled pretty well last year and even snared a few BOGs.

Edit: yeah last year he had 8 votes with just the one BOG, which was 3rd for the Crows. I doubt Thommo will poll as well as last year.

Not much value on anything Adelaide at the moment, $1.15 to beat Essendon, $4.75 to make the Grand Final and $11 to win it.

A pick four on Adel-WB-Bris-Coll is paying $9, which seems reasonable.

Here's a sob story: I had $10 each on 'Tippet first goal + Adelaide by 25+' and 'Porplyzia first goal + Adelaide by 25+' against Carlton, which were both 40-1. Both of them hit the post in the first two minutes :(

Devastated! That Porsche banana looked just about through as well.

Adelaide - Most Votes (Brownlow 2009)

Sorry guys, couldn't find the old gambling thread...

I want to bet on the Brownlow but want decent odds. Who do you think is likely to poll higher, Porps or Tippett? And could either of these beat Vince or Thommo?

Thompson wasn't even invited to the Brownlow...it's all about our young guns this year :thumbsu:
I think Bernard will come flying home and easily get the most polls for us.

Vince 12-1 to finish top 5 isn't a bad bet
