As reported via the link below, the Bulldogs and Demons will play each other twice in 2016.

The first match will be on Sunday March 6th at Craigieburn (before/after the NAB Challenge match), with the second match on September 3rd.

The twist is the first match will be Bulldogs and Demons Victorian players only, while a draft will take place for the 2nd match. The Bulldogs vic players will also take on WA (as the Eagles?) in June.

Has it been decided if it will be before or after? I'll be there on the day but won't be able to see the women's match if it is after the NAB game.

It's straight after, beginning around 5.10pm. It's free entry if you roll up after the final siren in the men's match.
Thanks for the reply. Shame about that timing as we won't be able to stick around at that time on a Sunday (young children).

Was they a reason why the match couldn't be scheduled before the NAB game? We would certainly have gotten to the ground early to see both matches had this been the case. Given the limited viewing capacity, that way we would guarantee a good location and had made a great day of it.

It's gonna be pretty damn hot out that way apparently.

Well done girls. Did the job when it mattered, so doesn't this mean we have a girls AFL team? Can someone confirm.

I loved the win also DRB!

The AFL is dragging its' heels in announcing who will get the licenses for the AFL Womens teams. We and Melbourne are considered hot favourites to get the nod and both clubs deserve a license, given that until very recently we have been the only AFL teams in the country to get serious about promoting Women's ALF at the highest level. That said, we are not certain to be selected.

Fox Sports reported (in the port pulling out article) that Dogs and Melbourne are lock ins for the 2 victoria teams (only 4 vic teams allowed atm)
