So our leadership group were trying to win it off their boot in the last q.

How about try to win from the first bounce?

How about realizing game on 15 minutes in and reacting?

Instead of "trying to win" and a 3-4 goal deficit ballooning out, how about we turn up ready to play and prevent that initial deficit?

I didn't see Jack on TFS last night, but apparently he said we went up there expecting to win and were complacent. How many more beltings will it take before this group doesn't turn up with such a shocking attitude? How can a 6-6 side with a propensity to lose badly go into any game expecting to win? Staggering.

I've never hoped for a 100 point loss, but I hope Geelong put us to the sword to oust this pretender and get him fired.

That interview pissed me off more than losing the game did on the weekend.

All that shit he just spoke is just tripe. He has been spouting the same shit for the last 6 years it's actually embarrassing.

Oh my god, I did not just hear Brad just say

"We want to work towards being a really predicatable team"

"Winning the right way and not taking risks"

**** me so looks like NO match day changes and NO risks taken to drop anyone or make a statement

When he got confronted about "you've said this all before but nothing seems to get better" he got his back and dished out the typical bullshit statements that he's learnt over the past 6 years. Made me CRINGE so much...plus the small dig at Wayne Carey for calling us mentally weak was pathetic. Man up you soft **** and admit the ISSUES

Spewing out the same s*** to the media like "I'm going to set the standard" "make sure they're accountable". How Brad? How have you done that huh? This is not even humorous anymore

Absolutely stubborn and arrogant. I'm not watching another presser until he is gone, this is by far the worst presser I have ever seen probably because for 6 years I have been sucked into his hype and lies. I feel like a fool

He is now in job preservation mode, do you think Clarkson takes no risks and plays it safe?

Our new club song...

Ziebell is part of the problem.

His defensive running is absolutely pathetic.

Are we all feeding off each other or is the antipathy towards the Coach what is being said outside of BF?

And who does he listen to. ..is there a critical friend within the club?

I've been asking myself this very question.

I think that with each pathetic performance there's been a gradual realisation among the BF faithful that he's a smoke and mirrors man. By now nearly everyone's convinced or on the way to being convinced (or missing from the Board until we win a game).

What I heard when he said he saw things on TV that he's never seen before was pure BS BS. He's the one who has told us time after time about the rigorous reviews of poor performance.

I'm reasonably sure he would have watched our replays on TV from every angle, or maybe he reviews games without the aid of television replays.

What has he seen watching from home that he wouldn't see in a rigorous review of the "tapes"?

He can't see what's in the players hearts and minds.

Or just maybe he forgets to pull the drapes back on the coaches box on match day. Would explain his lack of game day knowledge. Yeah he must think people are freaking stupid.

I have no doubt the club truly believed it had found its man, but what a foolish and irresponsible decision it was to offer him such a long and generous contract extension. Whoever it was that blinked in that negotiation ought to be castrated, only I suspect there's little to castrate.

And if people like you and I have stopped listening, can we seriously be expected to believe at least some of the players haven't?

I think there's every chance the players have already, or are in the process of, switching off - it might just be the case that we have not yet seen it with our own eyes or heard it from an insider.

Losing the players doesn't happen over the course of a game or two. It's a slow process where confidence is lost piece by minute piece. But all those pieces add up. They hear the press conferences; they hear that people will be held "really accountable" and then they see the team selections that belie that notion; they hear that selection will be based on performance, and then hear selections being defended on the basis of "team structure"; they hear that fixes are simple yet years on the same problems afflict the team; they hear that "flying the flag is crap" but that players who are aggressive might get a gig; they invest time learning a game plan only to find it changes again before it can be mastered.

I think it would be bigger surprise if Brad hasn't lost the players. We'll know soon enough.

Unlike most of you, I didn't hate the presser - though I will concede we've heard most of it before.

Having said that, it didn't inspire any great confidence that we will improve.

The proof will be in the pudding. Four seriously important weeks coming up.

Mate i hate to break it to you but the ship well and truely sailed about 4 weeks ago.

There will be no proof in the pudding, none in the eating and very little in the $hitting because by now any truth has well and truly made its way through the sewerage treatment plant.

the next 4 important weeks will the trade period because at least that will give us an indication if we are in for 12 more months of this crap.

Well, yeah, yours is the popular opinion, no doubt.

I'd prefer to wait and see a bit longer. Happy for you to laugh at me for doing so.

Honest question.

How many more insipid performances will it take?

There was a lot of the same Brad rhetoric we've come accustomed to and I think his 'predictable' comment was poorly phrased and was intended as being consistent. The leniency starts and ends there though.

Few things that stood out for mine:

The view of team structure relating to final quarter last week. He blames the team for not following team structure and the reason for the blow out. No idea how he can say that when the preceding 3 quaters weren't overly successful. And I might be wrong but I'm not sure how you can have the view of 'winning from any position'...... and not take risks. That was a perfect illustration of his stubbornness and the 'it will eventually come' attitude.

He wants the players to be confrontational.... He publicly criticized the captain earlier this year for doing so...not really a driver for the rest of the team to adopt an aggressive attitude.

Finally and the most depressing of all, there was no mention of what we want to achieve as a club, just deflections and comparisons of how other teams have gone.

The line of questioning was hard and fair but there was no real impression that where the team is at, at the moment is anywhere near acceptable.

Brad doesn't strike me as the same type as Deano that will fall on his sword. Id like to think his overly defensive demeanor (more than usual) in that presser indicates some discussion has taken place and he knows he's on borrowed time.

I can put up with an ugly finish to the season if it means a new hierarchy, but an important couple of months coming up for the club in terms of what the next 5 or so years will look like.

6 years he's been there and he still hasn't figured out what the **** he's doing
I liked the, "we have to focus on getting better and if you've heard that before its because it was the same before"

Yes Brad...and the reason we're all pissed off is because you're not getting better...and it's the same as before!

Brilliant point there. His "defensive" demeanour when questioned has gone up a notch this year

Like a stubborn little boy that won't listen because his way is the right way even if he's proven that he isn't

I doubt that many of us are laughing at you, LtK. I for one am hoping you're right.
