I know it is only half way through the season but I was wondering who will be leaving the Freo list at the end of the season?.

Parker (retire)

McManus (retire)

Haines (retire)

Woods, Siegert, Browne - trade?.

Any other suggestions?.

Gilmore, traded (Western Bulldogs? He deserves more opportunities)
Woods, delisted (probably picked up by the bombers)
Dunn, traded
Peake, delisted (then rookie listed)
Duffield, delisted
Haines, delisted

What is the story with Gilmore? Doesn't he play the game out to instruction? What is it about his game that he's not getting a game?

The good oil from my sources is that Gilmore likes the ladies, which may mean he is doing too much partying?.

I still reckon TLo has handed him the "CC goat photo's".

Atleast 4 will go, probably 5 if we want to elevate Warren to the senior list, which I think we should (he's had 2 years on the rookie list so we have to elevate him or cut him from the rookie list). Shane Parker will play on. Haines was de-listed and redrafted last year so is contracted for next year (all draftees get a 2 year contract). What's the cut off to be rookie listed? Peaker turns 22 on July 5th. That would mean he could be a 24 year old on a rookie list.

We tried to trade Woods last year when he was a semi-regular without any interest and I don't think that would have changed. Same would apply to Siegert, would only get a 5th round pick at most and is a handy depth player so should remain on our list but would need to finish the season strongly. Browne when fit I think is a valuable player. Has good pace and is hard at it, though his disposal lets him down at times. Could possibly make a very good tagger on someone like Crawford who carved us up recently.

My prediction:
Parker and McManus will retire.
Browne, Peake, Haines, Woods will be delisted.
Dunn & Schammer traded.

Parker will play one more year, still in our best 22
Would have to be someone special to let Schammer go.
Agree with the rest.

Maybe a 2nd or third year ruckmen for Schammer? Not sure who though.

Schammer will stay, he's a gun but he's been a little out of form of recent, great player.

I certainly hope Parker stays on for another year or 2 because he's a good defender and we're running short of them at the minute

I'd say he'd stay for another year tops.

I don't think Parker will retire.

I reckon Macca will.

I think we'll keep Woods, and Sega.

Haines will retire. I feel sorry for this guy, tried hard but never really got a chance.

Browne will probably be delisted.

Saw Haines, Haddrill and Hayden having a kick this morning - nothing too strenuous but it was just the three of them on the ground.

No-one else out at that time.

Macca to retire or be delisted.

Parks to play his final year next year.

Woods to be traded. It's not like he hasn't got the ability, it's his commitment that's the worry. 2nd Round pick maybe?

Hopefully Scham stays, but if push comes to shove and he wanted to go home, I'd expect nothing less than a first round pick and someone in the mould of Ben Hudson or Brogan/Lade from the Crows or our feeder club down at Alberton.

The juries still out on Dunn, what I've seen of him for us and for the Gummies has been fairly impressive, the only problems being that he's decided to play out of the backline, which is hard enough to break into now without Haddrill and Hayden playing, and that he appears to be fairly injury prone. Keep him on for a couple of more seasons and give him a chance for some regular gametime IMO.

The list has to be trimmed to 35 before the draft. Parker isn't included as he's on the veteran list. I don't think Macca is eligible. So at the moment we will have 40 on the main list by the end of the year.

Lots of trimming to be done. Will be an interesting trade period.

That is wishful thinking, I mean the koops deal was extremely lucky I cant see that happening again.
And I would have thought that Koops would have been more valuable than Woods.

One of the few times Ripper 46 & I agree way too early don't know if there will be long term injuries, how we will finish by round 22 etc.

Peak at 22 will be too old if he was redrafted for rookie list likewise Rabbit Warren will need to be elevated or delisted.

Paul Duffield @ 19? is showing plenty in his first full year of League at soufs
is arookie and I don't think you can be a rookie for more than 2 yrs?

Second Chance Crowley needs to continue to make every post awinner to be elevated of delisted be 22 in 2006 too old.

Is 21 the cut off for rookie status??
