Who is better?

Both are courageous and tough nuts.

Personally, I'd take Brown. Any defence would feel pretty comfortable with Brown standing next to them.

Craig Bolton is class as well.

EDIT: Sorry I spelt Campbell wrong.

Let's see how Brown goes backing up what he did last season. He's had one great year and been pretty average otherwise. I hat people jumping on bandwagons so early.

Bolton has been a consistent stronghold in that defence for the last 3-4 seasons, can play on all types and never shirks the issue.

At the moment Bolton for mine.

Have you heard of a player called James Bartel, aka Jimmy Bartel?

Have you heard of a player called James Bartel, aka Jimmy Bartel?

James Bartel has been recognised as a very good player for several years, anyone who watches football knows that. He pushed himself into the bracket of elite in 2007. Brown has literally done nothing before last season.

Brown has actually been a good player for quite a few years. Last year he was just exceptional. Certainly wasn't just an average player prior to last year.

I think that's more of a Hawthron interpretation than a general footballing public interpretation. I'd expect you to be a little more lenient.

Not lenient, just realistic.

I said he was a good player - I believe that is quite fair and realistic.

You said he was pretty average - this is certainly way off the mark.

Good poll, both players are very good players and give a good solid contribution every week.

I favour Brown in this one, i think he's more versitile and im a big fan of his aggression

You have an intriguing notion of what it means to be a good player then.

You have an intriguing notion of what it means to be an average player.

Describing someone as a good player is hardly lifting them into the games elite.

What do you mean by that last line?
Mate, you just dont watch football enough. Browny has been a good player for a few years now, consistant week in week out and reliable.

If your going to talk about jumping on bandwagons after one good season, i could list you half of Geelongs players, who have been 'average players up until last season'.

Go ahead!

Try naming a few that weren't even at Campbell Brown's pre- 2007 level, who are now considered in the "very good" bracket. I think you'll struggle mightily.
