A solid B grader for sure. Nothing more. The elite comment was outrageous.
Three flags straight from a bunch of B graders who "only went well because of the talent around them' is outrageous

lol what are you talking about? The comment was in regards to Impey ya muppetThree flags straight from a bunch of B graders who "only went well because of the talent around them' is outrageous

They have all the physical attributes just haven't got the footy brain.Nash and Glass are possibly the two worst players in the league who are currently getting games. If those two weren't playing last night it's very possible Hawthorn would have won by 6 goals.
You keep saying this but how come Carlton couldn't get a haul in like that over the same period despite having probably the best draft picks in the competition at the time? You only disagree as the equation is wrong in your mind and random post without understanding context. You do not lose Tom Mitchell or Worpel to get those other talented youngsters to go with Naughton. You only lose O'Meara part in relation to Naughton plus 6 other possible draft pick opportunities you could have had during 2016 and 2017 drafts.
Mitchell, Naughton, Worpel, Tom Stewart, Willie Rioli, Luke Ryan etc etc could have all been yours to have and still have your other late draft picks you have used.

You've haven't been watching many of our games then. He's been doing it all year.He had a good game against Collingwood, therefore he must now be elite.
Drafting isn't an exact science. If it were, Tom Stewart and Willie Rioli would have been picked up in the years before.
I reckon he was close to as good as Sicily on Friday and it was one of Sicily’s beat games for a while. Impey keeps playing like that and elite is not too far fetched (in that position).A solid B grader for sure. Nothing more. The elite comment was outrageous.
At best a Coniglio will lift the Hawks to just outside/inside the eight. Some serious issues down there being excused because “Clarko knows what he is doing”.
We are 1 game outside the 8 without Coniglio or Mitchell.
Sometimes, just sometimes, people should think before they post
I won’t ignore it. We have our core now (whether traded or drafted) - time to top upLol you are 24 points with a percentage of 97.4%. Adelaide are 32 points with a percentage of 105%. You are three games outside the 8.
Hawthorn are miles off and topping up just stops you from bottoming out.
You ignored my whole point about how when you topped up last time you did it around a drafted core which is what the Hawks are ignoring now.
But yeah I better think before I post!

And that guy who won the last BrownlowTwo wins and % missing a player who plays for GWS.
Hey isn't that guy playing today for a different club? What's up with that?We are 1 game outside the 8 without Coniglio or Mitchell.

He is a GWS player we won’t reject like we did with Shiel. We are very selective with our GWS playersHey isn't that guy playing today for a different club? What's up with that?
The only GWS players you've picked up are Scully and O'Rourke. Patton also looking very likely to make his way to Dingley. Seems Hawthorn's main selection criteria for their GWS recruits is most time spent in the surgeon's office. He is a GWS player we won’t reject like we did with Shiel. Comparable to West Coast winning the premiership after our last Brownlow Medalist retired. Mitchell, like Priddis, just doesn't have that much impact on games. And that guy who won the last Brownlow
Lol mitchell covered a lot of our deficiencies last year. There are some dumb posts in this thread this tops it allComparable to West Coast winning the premiership after our last Brownlow Medalist retired. Mitchell, like Priddis, just doesn't have that much impact on games.

Seems very same-same to me. Hopefully I'm wrong for Hawthorn's sake but it was painful to see as the years progressed. That's about as dumb as saying that McGovern isnt that important because most of his marks are defensive, not offensive.
But go on, can someone tell me how hawks could have drafted Naughton at pick 7 when the last pick seven we had was used to draft lewis in 2004 (granted it was an upgraded pick 10)
there arent any norths still around handing out pick 7 for some fringe players. Ironcally North drafted him
My favourite part of the thread. Dons fans telling us what success looks like, post a failed doping regime and a 15 year winning final drought. Lulz.Im not sure. But I was responding to someone who said we probably wouldnt make the 8 even with him. I was merely pointing out that despite not having him and the reigning Brownlow medalist we are close.
Given our trading history, I dare say we arent just going for 1 player. Especially if we end up having Roughie, Burgoyne and Birchall all retiring.
But I do enjoy Essendon supporters giving their opinion on what it takes to succeed.
