Ridiculous post. If a team missing ten quality players almost gets over the line against a full strength opponent they have every right to be called brave and to remind people that they were missing key players. Nothing pisses me off more than when a team wins against a severely depleted opposition and their supporters carry on like they have just won the flag. Context is everything.Seriously, what infuriates me is that when teams lose you have those 1 or 2 people saying it was a "brave loss", "we had injured players." It's very annoying. (Thank god majority of wce aren't sympathetic). But the good teams such as hawthorn are able to play well without some key players.
Losing games is unacceptable and should never be used as an excuse. If eagles lose without mcgovern; I will still be pissed and I will not give any sympathy.
There is no such thing as "brave losses." If you can't steal a game that's just down right horrible.
Big losses are more "brave" then close losses.
