With our season on the line from 2 of our senior players we get 5 disposals and 2 tackles each in a half of football. Disgrace.

Lose this Elvis and Riley, Crouch, Kerridge and Lyons should play ever game for the rest of the season. Who goes it for them, take your pick of under performing senior players. Lets put our ground breaking and successful youth rotation policy aside for a few months.

Might good coming off a half back flank

Completely anonymous when we're getting crushed. Gives the slightest increase in output when the game's already over.

Vader please don't put him in your votes again..

This season has been a horrible one for VB, he actually offers nothing and is taking a spot Lyons or Riley could have. Such a disappointing 2013.

If we are going to go foward as a club, VB needs to give up the captaincy or he needs it taken off him. Doesn't lift when the team needs him to the most. Completely invisible when we are getting destroyed.

Danger offers so much more in terms of leadership right now and for the future.

I wasn't planning on it.. though why he's being singled out is beyond me - given that at least 14 of our 22 players were completely MIA today. I suppose he is the Captain and more should be expected from him, but he really wasn't the worst player we had on the park today - and given how poorly he played, that speaks volumes for those who were worse.

Because he is the Capitain.

Simple... He needs to be a leader, not be another player who plays good when we win.

Sando loves him for some reason. In the press conference he mentioned how good VB was at shutting down someone (can't remember the Richmond player) during the game.

He is a squad player at best. Premierships won over the years have had influential and
Inspiratonal captains. Selwood, Judd, maxwell, etc. All stand up when needed and carry the team at times.

So for example you can see Watson being a premiership captain.

I can't see VB doing this. On the other hand I can see a Danger or Rory holding the holy grail.

He needs to know this and stand down!

You suppose? FFS Vader. He's the ****ing captain, damned right we should be demanding more of him. Understatement of the year.

Of course.. it would also be good if people here actually had an understanding of what VB's role is in the team, before making judgements about whether he's doing well or not.

Last week he shut Hanneberry out of the game after half time, yet most of the BF intelligentsia wanted him dropped for playing poorly.

CEO.

The Crows will not have any success until they remove the boys club at the top.
Actually, I think that the Crows will not have any success until the senior management accepts that failure is part of the AFL life cycle and that it is not possible to achieve the ultimate success without having access to the deep end of the draft pool - and that means finishing down the bottom of the ladder once or twice (preferably not in years when GC & GWS have the top-20 sewn up with start-up concessions, or years when we're banned from the 1st and 2nd rounds for draft tampering).

We will not win the flag while other teams are running around with 5-7 players (on average) taken in the top-5 draft positions, while Adelaide have just a solitary top-10 draftee on the entire list (not counting Tambling, who was traded for a pick in the 30s). Adelaide won't win the flag because we don't have enough elite talent on our list.

No he did not. Hannebery had 10 possessions on him in the third quarter and 5 in the last when Sydney took it easy. Perhaps get your facts right before having a crack at others.

It doesn't help when you are playing $800k under the salary cap.

Wow, limiting a player to FOURTEEN possessions in a half.

You realise the game transitioned into junk time before half time right? Do you think Hannaberry gave a crap that he ended up with 40 instead of 50?

Largely irrelevant, considering the only player Sydney were offering for him was Jesse White - and Adelaide would have been asking Sydney to pay his entire salary.

14 and no influence whatsoever, after he had 28 and destroyed us in the first half.
