Got the ball a lot, and every time he made a terrible decision they summed it up as "rust".

His DE% last night was 58%, his average the previous 2 seasons has been 68%, so not like he goes in the high 70s/low 80s like they made it sound.

You can maybe excuse an umpire for missing something that they might not have had the best vision of. But you can't excuse the MRO which has the exact same vision as the rest of us. It's clearly a late strike to the head. How is that not at least a week?

Jhye Clark got a week last year for trying to pull out of a bump after his opponent kicked it leading to a slight head clash. But Walter gets nothing for a swinging arm to the head? Ridiculous.

What i really took from saturday was also the brilliance of shaun mannagh around the midfield. He is a very skilled and dynamic midfielder who can match it in there.

Shaun Mannagh is brilliant at getting from contest to contest, especially in tight with minimal space available, he's brilliant at it and grossly undervalued.

Clohesy goes and goes and goes. But right now his ball use and composure is miles off the level it needs to be.

Agreed Ted Clohesy is no where near AFL level with his 'ball use and composure' Footy Smarts:.... cannot fault his endeavour and toughness at the ball and pressuring of the opposition which is commendable but currently just lacks class, composure, execution skills and 'FOOTY SMARTS'. Really needs to work on that part of his game in a big way if he is going to make it as an excellent AFL player, so let's hope he can make substantial improvements in these areas over the coming 18 months or so as it won't happen overnight.

3 Geelong midfielders received votes (including clear BOG) against the Suns AAA midfield line up.

Stengle and Miers continuing to knock it out of the park is bringing us right back to 2022 and the best of 2024.

You need many types to make it all work.

One of the best attacking forward/mids in the comp and one of the most effective taggers - those are two useful things to tick off.

I had the feeling that it was a spur of the moment thing. Maybe one of the players or support staff.

Whatever the case, it was a really great idea and was perfectly executed by the players.

We know how to play the game, on and off the field.

With Duncan's 300th a few weeks back, Dempsey was helping to provide childcare with one of the kids out on the field
