Weather forecast getting worse. Checked it this morning and still have the tab open ... it was 11mm rain Friday, then 3mm Sat and clearing by the afternoon. Now it is 16mm on Friday and 11mm on Sat, and rain forecast into the evening.

The forecast can change quickly and it is a long way out, but the fact it is getting worse is not filling with me confidence.

We've shown improved form in the rain and beat GC in the wet, but I still think it favours them if it rains. They play in the slippery/dewy conditions all the time. And it makes it more of a crapshoot. Can also take the buzz out of the crowd.

14 day forecast has Saturday as the wettest day in the period with thunderstorms forecast, but surrounded by clear days, surely not haha

There's a whole week of the weather bureau throwing darts at the board for them to get the forecast right. I wouldn't worry about the wet yet. Besides we've won our games in the wet this year

More than a week is just too far out for Perth. More than 3 days even really. Could be underwater, could clear as day still.

Hope this is wrong!!

What Snuffaluphagus said, BOM or other derived forecasts are normally fairly good 3 days out with an indication 7 days out.
Timeanddate.com, Accuweather, etc. are international sites using large models for global predictions, they're generally pretty poor for proper local conditions, let alone across a 14 day period - meteorology is just too variable and uncertain for those type of predictions.

Just be happy we don't live near mountains otherwise it would be far worse.

True story! Living in Canberra, the BOM was highly unreliable. Mountain weather does what it does, apparently. Team’s been excellent in the wet this year; back ‘em in and bring a poncho!!

Gotta respect GC; they’re a good side that would’ve been top 4 except for shock losses to worse opponents, same as Freo 🤷‍♀️

Absolutely. Looking at stats (as some of us love to do) shown in the AFL match preview, all measures are almost the same Freo/GC - except theirs match are ever so slightly better. Alarmed by this, I rewatched the Freo-GC game in May which we won by 11 points.

A cracking fast game to which we brought record aggression and accurate kicking boots. You've done it once, Freo, you can do it again!

Rosebury screwed us that game
We also had no Pearce or Young, but we did have Wagner

Not aure

Almost want a crafty small to take advantages of any forward opportunities

We actually may be too tall in our forward line but I can't see JLo changing things now
GC has some pretty big bodied players. I am wondering if that was why they opted to drop Dudley for our last encounter with them.

At some point you'd hope the Freo fairytale - a la the Bloods drought ender or the Dogs in 2016 - has to kick in. These expansion team blow-ins will have their day.

Of course, we are going to have to do this the hard way, aren't we?
Would be epic to win a flag like the dogs did In 2016 or Brisbane in 2024 finishing 5th to 8th and won 4 finals in a row.

Only way, realistic way I can see the dockers possibly win a flag is similar to demons in 2021 of top 2, win home qualifying final, home prelim final and win the flag with a fully fit squad
