Gonna depend a lot on the Casey game, but...

Surely Maric has to be given another go next week?

IN: Maric, Petterd
OUT: Wonaeamirri, Bennell

Wouldn't mind seeing Morton dropped too... perhaps give Blease his first game?

Tapscott could also be in MRP trouble.

Also please dont be putting OUT: Bailey!!!11one in this thread.

IN: Petterd, Bate, Blease
OUT: Morton, Wonaeamirri, Dunn

EMG: Dunn - Warnock - van Schaik

I agree Headless. And I wasn't trolling about Davey on that other thread. In my opinion he is an outside footballer that is not going to be very effective in a developing side. But, it's obviously just an opinion and as they say, they are like arseholes!

Backline isn't the problem. Bennell and Wona were quiet but how the hell are you meant to get a kick in our forward line as a small?

Out: Green, Dunn, Morton, Martin
In: Petterd, Cook, Nicholson (R), Newton

Petterd is just a better version of Green. He can actually lay a tackle.

Dunn isn't really getting us anywhere. Why bother with him. Let's go with Cook.

Morton is a spas. He didn't deserve his spot back so let's bring in the best midfielder at Casey. That may well be Jetta or Evans or Fev's right love handle but last week it was Dan Nicholson. This guy is quick and apparently not soft. So why not give it a crack. He can't kick but neither can the rest of our side.

Martin has been ok, but I want someone who can give a contest up forward for the second ruck spot. Bennell or Trengove can play HBF if the tall defenders need a rest. It's Juice time.

If soft downhill skiers is the problem I don't see how Maric is a solution.

He got two games to show whether or not he has changed/improved/hardened - and in both he was a sub. Deserves another crack as he went straight back to Casey and played really well again.

Agree with the fact the backline is not the problem. Hasn't been for some time now IMO.

Morton has to go back and learn how to kick and compose himself on the ball.

Sylvia has to go back and learn what it means to be playing in the AFL.

Would like it if they dropped Green to send a message but dropping the captain would be even less likely than my suggestion of giving Sylvia a week off.

Out: Morton, Sylvia

Get serious guys. Tonight was pure 100% poo but we can get our season back on track with a win against the mediocre Crows. We need Sylvia, Frawley, Green and Grimes to be playing.

we cant be dropping senior players! we lost one game! give them a chance to redeem themselves (like Beamer did last week)

OUT:

Morton had enough of his SOFT performances
Wonna just didnt do enough, looks unfit and he was exposed tonight
Dunn: I know he was a sub, but he has had a bad year
Frawley: In need of some serious form in the VFL

IN:

* Pending on VFL performances

hard to say who to bring in right now but we dont have a lot who are locked in for next week.

FB: Rivers - Frawley - Bartram
B: Grimes - Garland - Strauss
C: Bail - Jones - Gysberts
HF: Bate - Watts - Pettard
FF: Green - Jurrah - Davey
FOL: Jamar - Moloney - Trengove
INT: Blease - Sylvia - Martin/Gawn
(SUB) - Bennell

IN: Strauss, Pettard, Bate, Blease
OUT: Tapscott (Susp most likely), Dunn, Wona, Morton

Newton will have to be considered if he kicks another bad (sad). Wouldnt mind evans or nicholson playing but cant see it happening too be honest.

I think it's time for a review:

Safe: Grimes, Jones, Trengove, Bartram, Garland, Moloney (though was very poor last night), Bail, Watts (his contested marking is starting to really improve), Jamar, Tapscott, Rivers and Jurrah (no opportunities tonight), Bennell (very hard playing as a small forward in games like last night).

Need to lift next week or in trouble:
Sylvia: As one of our experienced players needs to show some leadership when the going gets tough and our leaders have been very average in these situations (against Hawthorn 3rd quarter and West Coast),
Davey: Struggles to cope with a tag and needs to lift,
Green: Is playing awful at the moment,
Frawley: Looked horribly out of touch against the eagles.
Martin: Played well this year but against the eagles showed us that we need to find a 2nd ruckman and not a makeshift one.
Gysberts: was ordinary last night and needs to find his feet before scully or mckenzie come back. Being subbed off wasn't a good sign.
BAILEY: Needs to have a big review on our game plan (if we have 1) as what we are doing at the moment comes unstuck against the high pressure tactics like last night and Clarkos cluster against Hawthorn.

GONE:
Morton: Needs to get touch back at casey, looks too soft when going for the ball.
Wonna: Looked unfit last night even though he didn't get many chances
Dunn: Hasn't played well all year and should go back to casey for some form.

It will be an interesting VFL match for most of the melbourne listed players this weekend.
I think Bate/Maric (whoever plays better on saturday) and Petterd have to come in this week and whoever plays best in the middle for casey this weekend (hopefully blease).

Change the whole side, their last month has virtually been unwatchable.

They lack desire, skill, intensity, confidence, a willingness to to help one another, leadership and a lack of knowledge of the game plan if there is one.

Bailey is finished as a coach without a doubt, he won't be around next year. We are definately a bottom 4 side and that won't change.

We must replace him now, he is not part of the future. I don't care who they replace him with wether it's Connelly, Viney, West, Mahoney or Williams it must be done to see if they can cut it because they won't get a chance to coach a senior side otherwise, Bailey has made sure of that. It worked for Sydney and if they don't cut it throw all the brown paper bags you can find at Malthouse.

We can accept being the jokes of the competion like we have been for the last 40 odd years or we can get on the front foot and do something about changing this woeful culture that we have.

Time to do something Jimmy! and Garry Lyon has a lot of explaining to do.

cant see cook making it into the team this year. give him the rest of the year to build muscle and confidence. time watts didnt get

Firstly we need to win next week.
INS-pettard,Maric,Blease,Bate,Strauss,Cook,

OUT-To hard to say only ones safe against the crows are,Jack the Watts(name of my supercoach side)lol,Garland,Rivers,Jamar,Jones,Trennors,Jurra,Wonnas,Spud,

On Notice-Green,Sylvia,grimes,Davey,Morton.
TIME TO GIVE JUICE NEWTON A CRACK.COULD BE OUR SAVIOUR

thought that warnock wouldve come into the team for the west coast game couldve really used him on one of the bigger forwards like lynch or kennedy who were just to big for rivers/frawley/garland. might need him to play on tippet.

OUT:

wona - based on effort last night should not play for the rest of the year. not sure how he got back into the team so easy looks underdone.

morton - slow, light, terrible foot skills

what we need: Jordie mckenzie ASAP
to give blease a run
petterd/newton to present at half forward

Lads, it's time for change! We have been surprisingly unchanged in our last few games! It's time to make a statement. We currently have too many unfit, out of form and out of favour players in the senior team. Scratchy wins against Brisbane and Gold Coast has really patched over what has been a terrible start to the year. Adelaide at the MCG is yet another game we should be confident in winning. But against there 18 man press, I'm not sure the ball will ever come out of there F50. Will be another awful game to watch...

IN

Petterd(is he not in our best 22?)
Maric(give the kid a go for a few week in the middle for christ sakes)
Bate(we need a moving target out of defense)
Strauss(will basically replace Tapscott. youth for youth)
Blease(starting to play well. We need run and carry out of defense asap)
Warnock(has been solid in vfl. will replace an unfit Chip)

Out

Davey(has been terrible all year thus far. Time for a reality check)
Dunn(been a shocking month for Dunn, surely Bate can do better)
Wona(Simply not doing enough and looks unfit)
Morton(should never have been rushed back)
Frawley(should never have been rushed back. Been poor since returning)
Tapscott(will be suspended)

In: Petterd, Blease (pending VFL form), Maric, Warnock (can afford this given Adelaide's fwd set up), Strauss (if Tapscott suspended)

Out: Dunn, Morton, Bennell (or stop playing him as a small forward), Frawley (find some form), Tapscott* (surely he won't be suspended)
