Yeah, you're right, and also playing Sandi up there a bit more would make sense. I mean it worked in the Geelong game and we've barely used him up there since? Makes you wonder?Farrand said:Too much pressure on both Farmer and Medhurst to kick all the goals. We need to stick Murphy up there and leave him. He provides a target, and okay, he'll probably drop most, but that leaves Medhurst and Farmer to crumb.
Murphy will never learn until he is left up there. Matthew Lloyd didn't set the world on fire in his first two seasons, but he was left in the forward line.

Drop Thornton you have got to be joking.

There is no way that Thornton will be DROPPED or RESTED.RIPPER_46 said:I said rest not drop. Scotty after a severely limited preseason appears to me to have hit the wall a bit in the last few games although he was much better against Sydney.
I thought that a bit of a break would have him back to his best after the break.*

Agree completely. I am a big fan of both.anchor man said:Scotty is now I believe one of those players who is considered to be a senior player. His value to the side is similar to James Walker.
Walker is the player we miss so very much of the players who have been out through injury.

Ripper I agree with the last part of your post,I know yuou stick by your thoughts through thick and thin but it just suprised me that you thought Scotty should be rested. If he is fit then he will play, there is no way in the world that he will be rested with so much at stake for the club.RIPPER_46 said:Agree completely. No one sways my judgement. I was just thinking of Scotty. He has had a limited preseason , has played every game so far this season , has had that mystery virus that affected his immune system and I thought (possibly incorrectly) that it would be dangerous to push him too hard.
But the medico's would have a far better grip on that than I.
That is all. No slight intended, I am the last one to hang ******** and the first one to look at the good things our players do around here.
