Yes, it looks like Hunter's season (and career) is over.:(

Hopefully he passes on his number 39 to a promising youngster like Burt Cockie.

Funny stuff.

Sux for Davis too. I didn't realise he'd broken his jaw (I'm assuming it was in that tackle on McLeod??). Wasn't great on the weekend but would've been good to see him get a couple of consecutive games to finish off the season.

Only got to watch the game last night and while Wilkes, Spangher, Staker and Davis didn't have the best of games I can't really see the match committee omitting any but Wilkes (and Davis obviously due to injury).

Emac has to be in the mix to come back surely for Wilkes and perhaps one of JoJo or Ash Smith (just coz I'd like to see what they've got) for Davis.

Also, what're people's thoughts on how Scooter has been playing in the last month? Seems to have gone off the boil a bit lately. Still busts a gut but I was perhaps expecting a bit more than he has been showing. Hasn't really done anything wrong, but doesn't seem to be affecting the constests the way he was at the start of the year. I thought he might just be tiring towards the end of a long season, but he's only played 13 games this year, so it can't be too bad I wouldn't have thought. Just seems to have plateaud a bit.

Does he dance as well as Adam?

Woosh pretty much said McGinnity will replace Davis, and that if Fletch were to come in he would have to replace someone else. I reckon if he drops anyone for him it should be Staker, getting games into the kids has got to be the no. 1 priority.

In: Fletcher, Mackenzie, McGinnity

Out: Davis, Wilkes, Wilson

Pretty happy with that. Gave up on fighting Fletcher's send-off a while ago.

est Coast Eagles veteran Chad Fletcher will play his 179th and final game for the club when the Eagles tackle Richmond at Subiaco Oval tomorrow night.

Fletcher was granted his wish of playing for the club one final time before drawing the curtain on an outstanding career which saw him rise from a rookie list player to be an all-Australian in 2004 and premiership player in 2006.

He forced his way into the line-up by way of his outstanding WAFL form with Subiaco and his selection was confirmed by the match committee today.

Also coming into the team for a game which will celebrate the 150th appearance for another rookie list graduate, Quinten Lynch, are young utility player Pat McGinnity and defender Eric Mackenzie.

Ryan Davis could not be considered after receiving a hairline fracture to the jaw against Adelaide last Saturday while Beau Wilkes and Callum Wilson have been omitted.

woosha not the sentimental type, the guy has had numerous questions over his off field behaviour and personally i'd rather see a kid get a run then feltcher.
Feltcher.. god I'm going to miss laughing at that every week. :o:D
