I would not play around with the list too much at all. For the Blues, that was practically their freaking Grand Final for this year; they needed to make a statement after their horror show the week before, and who better than against Pies at the G. They crowded their defense, and used almost everything (which isn't much yet) they had to try get over us after our bye. Some guys were down, but the tough win will help sharpen us up for Suns.

Only change what's needed, and Greenwood really would need a rest in Melb after what Carlton no.39 did to him. Treloar may do with a spell too after the cramp issue - no need to risk a hammy after hopefully getting away with it this week. That kind of push in the back when running is exactly how they often happen, and if it happens 2 weeks in a row...

Out: Greenwood, maybe Treloar
In: Varcoe, maybe Sier

Huh? I haven't bought tickets. I just assumed I could walk up. It's always empty there.
Anyone know the prices of walk up Metricon admission ?

Walk up is $26, but as its Collingwood they may be sold out. I just got mine ( plus $5.50 handling fee........)

Thanks . But sold out surely not. I have travelled to Metricon a few times and once they didn't even open the top deck there was so little people there.

Yep.
Hopefully there won't be a torrential downpour this year. So the seats behind the goals should be the go.

Please please please rest Treloar. Only going to risk a soft tissue injury playing him and he'll be much better come September with a bit of rest.

Only at Collingwood does a player miss a game due to cramp! :drunk:

Just for clarification when booking acccomodation, the Sunshine Coast is a mere 182 kms from Carrara.
Yep, depending on traffic 2- 2.5 hrs by car from Maroochydore, even further for Noosa

Severe cramp can take a while to recover from and increase the chance of muscle injuries.

Nothing a couple bottles of this can’t fix....

Coin flip between Wills/Sier, but I think at this stage, you look at the body of work from both guys over the last two months, not just last week's game, given both have absolutely kicked the door down at various stages and been unable to get a look in because of the strong midfield.

I'd factor in Wills having a bit more experience at the level and, as a bloke we've had enough faith in to give a 2-year deal, needs to see some senior football before he becomes stale. Sier will get his chance - I think he's what, six years younger than Wills?

Murray is a possible, depending on how we want to shape up in the back half and if we want to have a bit more run to test Gold Coast's twin towers going the other way.

I can't see the forward structure changing to fit Crocker in.

The VFL team is likely to get slaughtered next week - we're at tipping point with our depth and desperately need some of these guys to come back and provide some competition for spots again.

We're not far away from getting exposed on the injury-front — no club can deal with 15 guys on the unavailable list for long, even if only a handful are best 22.

I would say Treloar wont be risked this Saturday night. Games against Essendon, North and Richmond coming up, we can't risk a soft tissue injury and have him miss weeks. If Varcoe is ready to go which he should be, he comes straight back in.

Out : Treloar
In: Varcoe

Pretty consistent message from the club has been that all those players returning from a hammy will do so via the VFL so I doubt Varcoe would get straight back. If Treloar is to miss, Sier or Brown would likely be the 2 in contention.
