I reckon that Wilkes will be in the side next week, hasn't play all year and we don't seem to drop players after one game.

I thought Wilkes was ok

Healy kept mentioning how average his disposal was, but I didn't think it was too bad. Eventually Shaw caught wind of it and every time he had the ball he was expected to screw up.

Agreed, Adam Selwood to come out if he doesn't pull up. Would keep Wilkes in. He took some good marks that put his body on the line, even though he looked like he was getting some work done to his back at one stage.

McKinley still only popping up for the odd goal but keep in him for a few more just to see if he can lift and earn himself a spot on our team moving forward.

Spangher to come in for someone if injured but not sure if I could drop anyone on current form.

Really? I thought he was better in the third... but maybe it was the 4th... played further up the field and delivered i50 quite well a couple of times... but his "play on after the mark and miss" in the 1st was a shocker

Keep Wilson, it's his second game for God's sake and if nothing else, being there means the opposition has to keep him in mind. I didn't feel he and McKinley got in each other's way today.

Just a positional question - do we have to rest Adam Selwood up forward? Not a strong mark overhead on the lead.

nothing to be gained by getting rid of Wilkes or Wilson- both those guys are in the side on the back of consistently good WAFL form- both should get about a month to show their wares.

I doubt they will drop Wilkes after one game, mabye Wilson if they have seen enough of him to make a decision on his future (doubtfull). A. Selwood might miss which would be a very bad thing.. I wouldnt really want to drop anyone.. the WAFL guys have either had there fate sealed all ready (for good or bad) or are not in the position to really force anyone out of a winning team.

If I was being very harsh id put Scooter, McGinnity, Wilkes and McKinley on the chopping block.

Ive got memories of A.Selwood at HF v Richmond which haunt me at night... and is another reason why Id like to kick R. Walls in the groin if I ever see him. Sarcastically accused us of tanking (with that move) without actually saying it, something along the lines of

"I wonder why Selwood is in the forward line (Walls eye roll)"

Fletcher played well in the WAFL but cant see him bumping anyone out. To give Wilson another chance or not is a tough one. But hansen should be considered kick 4 goals last week and kick 4.4 today. Perhaps Mckinley or Wilson misses out.

I suspect Selwood may be done for the year too. Davis or Nicoski (if fit) in. Mind you, if Nico has a back problem we may just be better starting his preseason.

My heart stopped when we winding down the clock, and with a minute and a bit to go he got it on the wing. Then it was called play on.. I was scared.
