Changes for round 5 vs Blues

Big fan of cole but would have liked watson in to give us some drive off half back Jetta has produced.
Maybe cole takes Nelsons role this week and simmo gives Nelson to the rein to take the game on.

Defensively i'd marginally take Watson over Cole. But for kicking skills i'd have Cole comfortably ahead of Watson, has much better trajectory on his kicks. Would play Shep in his usual role and release Cole up the ground in Jetta's role.

I don't see Cole as threat to Nelson. Should play different roles, Nelson is defensive back/ inside midfield bailout option. Cole is running back and outside midfield option.

I still don't think Nelson has been as bad as i keep reading.

Once again, i think the disposal numbers and the fact he hasn't been 'noticed' automatically means he's played a bad game.

Off the top of my head i can remember 2 efforts he put in last week which straight up saved goals. Running down Lachie Weller (no small feat) was one, the other was when Lynch totally outdid Barrass with a good contested mark, walked off his line to snap a goal from 10m out and Nelson smothered it.

And of course, he was straight in there looking like a Lesbian to fly the flag after Lecras hit on Ainsworth.

Nelson being the whipping boy isn't that bad of a situation. Remember when McGinnity/ASelwood etc were the whipping boys? That was when we had spuds (late ASelwood career).

The amount of times we would play him on the oppositions fastest forward and he would get burnt every damn time.

I'm not bagging Nelson for the whole season, but he did have one poor game (as young kids do).

I think Duggan played a better game both defensively and offensively, but many blast him for not producing high numbers offensively.
