different thread geniusYeah you're much harder on Redden than Masten![]()
Already we are beyond expectations and again the media gods have admitted that they may have been wrong in their original accessments of the 2018 Eagles
Enjoy the moment. Isn that why we follow the game with the hope and expectations of the season ahead.
Have fun man, I know I am.
But if you a totally convinced that the 2018 Masten will destroy the club and their finals prospects, I suggest a letter to the coaching group will most probably get you the result you so crave.
I think what he is trying to say is that Masten is still very soft and has zero physical presence. Which is true. That's not to say Chris isn't doing ok presently, but it's these same issues that have largely been the bane of his career over the duration of it.
This is why we as supporters are a bit more forgiving with guys like Nelson and Duggan, because even though they undoubtedly have their limitations, at least in a physical sense they are prepared to have a crack.
Masten has spent the bulk of his career being physically rag dolled, knocked off the ball easily and never being able to stick a tackle. Presently he is being largely excused because:
-he is playing well (for him)
-the team is winning
Well will review this sentiment if results start to go against us and the stats line starts to read:
C Masten:
19 touches
19 uncontested possessions
0 tackles
0 score assists
For the sake of our side, I truly hope he continues to give a good account of himself. But would I bet on it? Probably not

He was damn good against GC. If he can do that against every side then we are laughingAgree.
I didn’t want Masten in the team at seasons start.
Refer my posts leading up to Rnd 1 & changes to Rnd 2 team.....
My issue? Posters not supporting a player that has clearly put some effort into improving his game. SHIT, he evaded 3 players in one play last rnd and has actually freed his arms several times this season....that is unheard of regarding Masten
I hope he continues to play the way he is, because it gives us a another running option that helps the club I love and support in the imeadiate future.

How many times a day do you think about Marsdo? Why do people bother complaining about GOAT Marsdo?
Until we play in a high pressure game in Melbourne where he'll likely be found out with panicky disposal and softness in the contest, he isn't getting dropped FFS.
Particularly not when he's close to career best form, certainly played better than Redden has all season IMO.
Just be patient. Marsden will get found out eventually, but it's not going to be after we've just rolled a team by 80pts at home. Relax![]()
It’s meant to be a joke about the lack of info we have regarding his injury. We don’t play till the weekend so several days till then but possibly more. Was a halarious Dad joke and you flat out ruined it by forcing me to explainYou mean weeks? Cause I’d be happy with several days tbh.
Would this be s legit option? I’m not against it but wouldn’t cole or even Ainsworth be a better option?Petruccelle to come in for Venables
I'd say bad newsVenables still on crutches, is this good or bad? Like if it were only a one to two weeker would he be off them already?
Would this be s legit option? I’m not against it but wouldn’t cole or even Ainsworth be a better option?
I'll give Healy a bell and askI'd say bad news

Your choiceSo I agree with Simmo and need to write a letter to him huh?
I think in future that if Simpson is asked about a players injury, that his stock response should be that the player absolutely farked. Because normally, they are.
This is two weeks in a row now with Ryan and Venebles that he has gone:
"Yeah, they should be totally alright. Pretty minor stuff".
Next minute...
"So yeah um......... he is going to miss a while".
Hell, he swore blue in the pre season that Kennedys surgery was just a minor clean up and had no involvement of the knee.
What love to be a fly on the wall as to what information our medical staff are feeding him.
