Unleash the X factor , the unpredictable - put Cummings in , tell him to ball short quick spells at the head to shake up SA , why not ....

Because they did that 5 years ago. He was MOM. He has struggled to string 3 one dayers together let alone 1st class matches together since.

I'm a massive fan. But he at least has to get through a full season first. Otherwise he is too big a risk of breaking down either in a test or permanently soon after.

We all know what the problem is. The batting (Bowling has been pretty good in patches.

So we all know what selection practice is. Make a bowler the scape goat and carry the batsmen. (Although I agree patience with Lyon is wearing thin).

People arent seriously saying white should play ahead of Ferguson? White was on the brink of extinction and ferguson has made runs the past 3 shield seasons, but hey, he got out cheaply in tassie so lets play white instead.

Absolute farcical. Do people have filters?

Or mufflers?

Huh that's weird. For us it is like if we need quick runs yeah but value who stays in and gets in.
I have no issue if it's a match winning performance, but I'm saying that kids are taught (and preferred) to score quickly than build a solid innings and value their wicket. Watched a game with my mates at a local park and they were trying to smack every ball rather than hit the bad ones and stay in. The amount of kids who got bowled off full length deliveries playing big shots across the line was unbelievable. I dunno man, just seems to be my experience

Any danger of resting Starc and/or Hazlewood? I mean, series is lost and we all know there's the likelihood they'll get "worn out" in the Pakistan series

In any case, I'm bringing Doolan in for Burns. Not fussed if he or Khawaja open, the other at 3, then Smith, Ferguson, Handscomb. Nevill might have to stay, I mean who else is there? Then Starc or Hazlewood be accompanied by Sayers and Bird. Lyon the spinner

Done

There will only be one change, Handscomb for Voges. And even that was a forced change after Voges got concussed.

As much as I want to see heads roll after the disgrace of the last two weeks it is harsh on Mennie and Ferguson to drop them after one test. And harsh on Burns one test into his recall. Even the very best players have tests where they don't contribute. If a batsman goes 4, 17, 20, 109, 180, 15 over a three test series then they've played well, despite one poor test and 4 bad innings.

I guess they both need another test, and maybe the first Pakistan test. Would love to see what we have in the sheds though with Renshaw, Lehmann, Dean, etc.

England cashing in...playing a 19 year old in hasheem habeed...knows how to value his wicket...goes to show you don't need experience to do well...If youre talented & focused. I hope Renshaw gets the nod would be ironic if our next batting superstar was born in England & we took back the ashes at some point in the future with him playing.

You're talking about Peter Handscomb, right?

If Doolan gets in, I'll swim from Wilsons Prom to Launceston, and back again, under water, backwards, juggling, singing do re mi in Egyptian.

Its amazing that you think of the players over the years who have only played 1 test and they cop a lot of shit on Bigfooty for being duds, yet here we have people saying you can't drop a couple of duds after 1 test, they deserve a good run in the side...
Because they arent the same people saying it. Nice try though

Would be hilarious after all the crap England copped to see the top 3 include Renshaw and Khawaja...

Warner
Marsh S
Kuwhaja
Smith
Handscombe
Ferguson
Neville
Agar
Starc
Mennie
Hazelwood

Give Ferguson and Mennie more of a chance. Agar is in good form and can bat well.
Agar is nowhere near it.

Mennie ain't a Test player.
