Good changes. JTs been a ghost for too long. Keep giving Daicos, Brown bros and others a go.

Madgen is the weekly 21-22nd name on the team sheet. I think the disciplined, hard running and well contested Mayne could most weeks play the 7th defender role solidly enough... although I do worry about him kicking it out from defence.
Spot on. Pump the games into the kids. Cant wait to have Rantall and Bianco in as well.

Happy with the changes. Would have preferred the Bear, hopefully his time comes.

WHE should be on high alert this week.

If he doesn’t get up, I wouldn’t be opposed to giving Ruscoe or Wilson a game especially if they’re playing the high half-forward role.

Pump games into the kids. Shorter quarters and keep rotating players to keep them fresh for the business end of the year.

Really pleased that Cameron stayed in the team.

Hopefully we worked on some deeper entries with him a little closer to goal.
His work up the ground was great, just need to hit him lace out in space inside 50.

The guy is a dead eye in front of goal, very natural kicking technique.

Little between T Brown and Thomas in terms of general stats from last week, but Brown was top 4 for the team in a pressure acts, Thomas at the other end of the spectrum. Brown also had the bigger impact R1.

Yeah, but on the other side of the equation, Thomas has proven in the past he can play at a high level as a forward.

I’d have dropped them both though.

Hope he gets a bag kicked on him. Traitor
Not sure how you could possibly call him a traitor given the circumstances of his departure from Collingwood and his recruitment to the Saints....

I understand what you are saying here, but lets not forget - whilst there was an element of mental health issues that surrounded his departure from the club, the other side of the coin was for family reasons.

He has however overcome those family reasons and has decided to recommence football in Victoria again at the highest level.

I share some similarities to Pistol Night, I don't wish Marsh any ill will, but I certainly will not be hoping he has an easy time on Saturday either.

The big gap is upside, JT has shown us his best, Tyler has opportunity and investing games into him could have a significant payoff.....or not but I’m confident it will.

Really happy with the inclusion of Stephenson too for what its worth.

Ideally its a three way rotation between himself, WHE and Billy. High half forward/Mid> Deep Forward> Bench (rest).

My opinion is that by adding Stephenson into that rotation rather than JT, we have another marking option when all three are deep forward. We probably give a little bit away when these guys are higher up the ground as a result, but with our midfield I think we can cover this.

You'd think that with Wills coming into the side, we're obviously aiming to push De Goey forward predominately. De Goey and Stephenson forward make us far more dangerous, and it gives me far more confidence that we will kick a winning score. I still think that long-term, De Goey should be a midfielder that rests forward, but his fitness isn't quite there and we just don't have an alternative in the forward line.

Very happy with the changes, especially Wills coming in.
Hopefully Cameron can provide more of a target closer to goal this week, though with Stevo and DeGoey down there we might be able to kick a score without him needing to.

Also glad to see Tyler stay in, hoping he can have a good one and play more of his natural game.

Stevo is a fantastic inclusion. When firing on all cylinders I value him as one of our top 10 players.

Wills getting the nod is an indictment on Sier because we all know he has the talent.

I'm glad that we're not gifting games, and that we seem to be backing youth.

Let's hope Saturday brings us some more inside 50s and a more effective forward structure.

Imagine Darcy Cameron was named Callum Brown - you'd be fondling yourself after that performance.

People are so odd. Cameron did nothing wrong last week, and when it appears Grundy might not be 100% its an absolute no-brainer he's in the 22.
Cameron was fantastic around the ground. We require a key forward. He may well kick five tomorrow. If he does I will be happy. At the moment everyone is touting his round 2 performance and many seem happy to have him go ahead of Cox. I know what Cox can do. I have to take it on faith that Cameron can play as a key forward. The few times early in the game when it did go forward he was out of position and barely made a contest. Callum Brown didn't have a ready made alternative with a proven track record breathing down his neck when we persisted with him after some average performances. I said if Cox is not fit enough yet then Cameron is a good replacement. As soon as Cox is ready-he goes straight in.

I think JT is done. At 28 he isn't going to get much better. Back in 2018, most people underestimated him coming back from a 2-year ban (and even before then, not many people outside the club really knew much about him as a player), so most teams didn't really pay any attention to him. If he doesn't fly under the radar, he's not gonna play that well, and the sooner he is outta here the better. Time to give some of the younger guys a run.

You could be right. His already ordinary leg speed will only lessen and there are an array of players his size that can play that half forward role with similar or greater output.

Yeah he was alright.

He's played exactly 2 games of AFL football. Two. 2. 1+1.

Maybe we should give him a few more before calling it done.

Been on this for a while. He’s just not best 22 anymore.

Be very surprised if Elliott has another poor game. Checkers will be better for last week’s run. Then we’ve added Stevo to the mix. And JDG will spend more time up forward.

Therefore we should kick about 20 goals.

We had the option to re draft him and passed. Nobody should be dirty on him.

Agree. I think at worst we'll end up with a B+ level long term player. Exposure now will only enable that sooner.

Elliot has never looked the same since his back injury. Doesn't have the zip or leap anymore sadly
