It's not ideal but it's the best option we have.
King is not a mature body and Bergman managed to use his strength a few times to win the contest.
He can't do that against Curnow. Jones may be able to - but will need help. Jonas to play on the third tall perhaps and float across to help.
Would be crazy to go in without Jonas given the circumstances.
Against most other teams I'd agree and go with Bergman /Jones, but Carlton forwards are both beasts

We could probably lose 6 of the next 7 and still make top 4 so the results themselves aren't as significant as the way we play in this tough stretch. I'm certainly looking for more competitive performances against Collingwood and Adelaide as both teams beat us convincingly the first time around and both present as potential finals opponents.
They're not similar forwards. King is still weak, Cameron's weapon isn't his physical strength.
Curnow would ragdoll Bergman.

It's easy to think this but I'm not sure it's true. I don't think we're a dominant team in the sense of dominating opposition teams and looking like we're firing on all cylinders. What makes us a good team is that we stay in the fight for long enough and then a couple of our top liners will have a 15-20 minute burst that separates the game, generally in the third or fourth quarter.

As I have for 11 of the last 13 weeks, expect this to be the week the house of cards comes tumbling down and we get belted.
So far I've been wrong 11 times...hopefully we make it 12.
We will struggle with holding down their key forwards, but expect our midfield to beat theirs quite comfortably. This will have the ball spent majority of the game in our forward half.
Changes this week:
In: Jonas, Durrsma
Out: McKenzie, Rioli
Narkle will be Sub again.

We've looked a little shabby all throughout the run. The only team we have really put to the sword for 4 quarters was North Melbourne. Even West Coast went toe to toe with us for 3 quarters. We're just not a dominant team, we're a fighter team with class players that continually rise to the top when we need them to get us out of a hole.

I've got a feeling it's why the way we play has been sustainable, do you really need to be torching for 4 quarters every week.
Apart from the first half kill of Hawthorn it almost feels deliberate that we see how things unfold then adjust & usually have a burst that is fatal for the opposition.
