We got 4 goals out of Goldy/Preuss last week, can't see us getting 4 out of Daw and Goldy combo.

Hopefully we stick fat with the Preuss, at least he comes at the footy when we up forward.

Goldy kicked 3 of the ****ing four goals. I know you dislike Daw and that's fine but **** me am over the level to which he is judged in comparison of others. Two ****ing effective disposals and you're all over him FFS?

I'd be assuming Higgins and Froggy at least will get a good run. But by all means let's lose our collective mind over a straw man. Why wait for the actual game to see what actually happens?

We've got more chance of getting double that amount of goals out of a Daw / Goldy combination. No matter anyone's views on Daw he's the only one out of the 3 (and with Waite out arguably the only forward we have) capable of a 7 goal+ haul.

I've always had a pretty good filter for Bigfooty. But this week seriously has to be the whingiest bunch of toddler style tantrums re selection I've seen in ages. We do not need to play every single one of our under 21's in every game of the year.

Swallow can only play there and the other two rarely play down forward despite having the talent to do so, therefore unless they're off the ground it's almost certain that they will be in the middle together

Scotts admitting that if he'd allowed Boomer and Drew to play on this year, then he would be forced to pick them every week essentially tells you why Scott Thompson is playing. Scotts does not have the gonads to tell any of the senior players that they need a stretch in the VFL.

In a press conference he said that. I think he was just making the decision more palatable the angry hoards.

The players get a chance to redeem themselves after a bad first game. Fair enough - we all perform badly in our jobs sometimes.

If that keeps happening though, you'd think the lineup will be very different round 22 compared to round 1.

Mountford though is unlucky. WC have a very handy midfield, wasn't easy first game for him....especially after waiting so long off great VFL form last year.

When I heard it I was worried his ego was writing cheques his body couldn't cash, now I'm hoping he wont be sent off to Hong Kong to fly cargo ships full of rubber dog shit (ala Greenwood and Wells!)

But i'd have dropped Swallow or Gibbo instead. I like both, but they aren't the future and were ordinary last week.

Hopefully with both Waite and Preuss out we'll see a bit of Cunnington/Ziebell resting forward.

Some variety in the middle wouldn't go astray either - wouldn't mind seeing Atley, MacMillan, Thomas, and Garner running through there at times.

Changes are alright, but looking at that 22 on paper is depressing, if this is what we've got to look forward to in this "development" year, im glad im going to Europe for over 7 weeks mid season, dont think I'll be getting the AFL live pass now.

Maj would want to perform, his form has been nothing short of shithouse so far this year.

The new inclusions will hopefully strengthen the team and make us more competitive.

Nonetheless, when the Round 1 team was selected, my thought was that if we lost, most of the first gamers would be out for Round 2. In this regard, Brad doesn't disappoint. I believe that only a strong optimist can believe that Brad will change his MO.
