We rushed Hamill back from his ankle because we're morons, that led to less than stellar form and now we've dropped him, also because we're morons.

In a way you have to admire our consistency.

Overshadows the otherwise good, sensible selections which is a shame.

That's probably what is the most frustrating. The other moves are decent (though a bit late on Murray), but then there's this big fat turd of decision in the middle of it all stinking up the joint.

Some good news to brighten up the doom and gloom thread...

ADELAIDE

Adelaide has included marking power and experience for its trip to face Norwood at The Parade.

Key forward Elliott Himmelberg has been listed at half-forward while former Eagles wing Chris Hall and ex-Tiger Daniel Jackson have also been recalled.

Promising midfielder Luke Pedlar also returns to the midfield rotation.

Midfielder Ronin O’Connor made his AFL debut last weekend alongside Shane McAdam and Chayce Jones while Jake Cook and Mitch Marini were omitted.

League

HF: Himmelberg, B. Cook, Hall

C: O. Davis, Latchford, Wright

HB: McAsey, Borlase, Worrell

B: Jackson, Merrett, L. Mathews

R: Strachan, Boyle, Hately

INT: J. Mathews and AFL Emergencies to be added

IN: Himmelberg, Hall, Jackson, Pedlar

OUT: O’Connor (AFL), McAdam (AFL), Jones (AFL), Marini, J. Cook

MILESTONE – Matthew Wright 100 games

Looking forward to seeing Pedlar string a few games together

The problem is that even our good selection of Murray as the 2nd tall defender is 3 weeks too late.
Fremantle, Port and West Coast all had 3 bigs in their forward line.

We are a bit ..... slow. And now do Melbourne only have 2 talls? Brown out

oh well... another week of mookay being picked just means another week of me hoping we get absolutely flogged.

if mookay is the answer.. then im sorry to say that the people (nicks, his assistant coaching panel, Roo and others that may put their two cents worth in regarding selection) are not the right people to take us forward. they surely cant be this ****ing dumb or blind.

the only way that changes is more and more heavy defeats.. and heads start to roll. starting with Roo who, given his penchant for praising mookay during game day commentary, i suspect may be one of the main one’s influencing these ridiculous decisions.

there has been one constant in the management and coaching staff since around 2016/17 when this “must pick the experienced guys at all cost even if they arent 100% fit” policy seemed to have started... and thats Roo. everyone else, except Hass has gone and been replaced. Roo is still there with his fat little fingers stuck in each and every pie..

mookay was absolute and utter dogshit last weekend and hasnt been much better than dogshit in every game he’s played so far this year.

im now hoping for a 100+ flogging..

Unless Hamill is carrying an injury & needed to be managed it's beyond stupid to drop him for Mackay.

We need to get games into him, his form had been solid, giving us our quickest defender to play on quick forwards.

We don't need to get games into Mackay & his form as an experienced player has been no better than Hammil''s. It's pointless playing a fringe older player in a rebuild unless there are no other options.
