McAsey did well in the SANFL so he should come in along with Worrell. They can replace Macpherson and Hamill.

Rowe was horrible, rather see Newchurch in his place. FOG AND Filthy place higher HF role with Tex and Berg deep.

Jones isn't ready yet and neither is Pedlar, Berry unlikely. Based on that you couldn't make any further changes.

One tactic I would like Nicks to use is Dude into the midfield. If Worrell can hold down the intercept role then it would free Dude.

Out: Hamill (inj), Fogarty, McHenry, McAdam, Rowe

In: Worrell, Berry, O'Connor, McCasey, Newchurch

Mackay for Lynch as the injury sub, and actually have him ready to play in case, you know, someone gets injured.

McCasey for Hamill fixes the size imbalance down back, O'Connor ends the failed Fogarty midfield experiment, Berry for McHenry as more composed pressure, Worrell for McAdam is more a reshuffle that pushes Smith and Sholl up the ground in phases, and Newchurch for Rowe to see what's what is not an outrageous idea.

At some stage someone in the coaching staff will come up with a radical idea to put the heat on our small forwards to start kicking goals, multiple goals.
Sure they attempt to chase, are pests and have a defensive role but are they effective?

I keep reading how good McHenry and Murphy are defensively but I don't see it.
They aren't huge accumulators and their tackle numbers aren't startling for a group of supposedly defensive minded forwards.
Apart from McAdam their goal production is less than 2 goals a game and they rank low with goal assist numbers.

I agree all are inexperienced, learning their trade and need games but the team needs greater production out of this group.
They need to start hitting the scoreboard regularly.

Who plays on Toby Greene?

Will almost be the most decisive contest of the game.

I think it'll just be Mackay for Hamill, and as sub, Worrell for Lynch. Hoping Worrell's in the 22 though.

In the Gun-: Murphy, McHenry, Rowe, Fogarty, Himmelberg.

I would persist with Rowe but Ned is a dud. Rowe probably needs a run in the 2nds but has shown some promise. Ned is next to useless. He will not make it in the afl, I'm calling it now.
Rowe was much much worse than Ned yesterday

Wayne Milera the medical sub this week?

Rowe 0 goals. 0 points, 0 goal assists, 0 score involvements. nada.
Might have wasted pick 38 reaching for that good news story.

He's got good skills but he doesnt look athletic enough to play AFL. Was a forward pressure beast in the SANFL but doesnt show any of this in the big league.

This is a bit out there, but if we are determined to play Luke Brown when he's out of form, I wouldn't be against sending him forward to play as a genuine pressure forward. He seems like a dude who really needs a change-up, plus from all reports he's an exceptionally good set shot given the opportunity.

Drop McAdam or Rowe and send Brown forward to try and spark him back to life a bit. Could even play as a lockdown on a guy like Ash as a main role, and then try and snag a sausage roll or 2 in the process.

He can always go back during the game if needed.

Are you kidding?

He’s played 6 games and had 1 AFL pre season. He’s body needs a rest. He’s hit the rookie wall. Lots of the kids have. We need to rotate a few now.

He’s looked quite comfortable in home games, but disappointed playing away. That’s a very natural thing for a first year player.

I’d give him 1 more game before seriously considering giving him a fortnights rest for the showdown, before bring him back for the trip to Perth.

You simply can't play all 4 in the side

Im surprised they've never tried him in the middle. May have missed the boat now though if he's struggling for pace after injuring his ankle.

Thought McHenry had a better game yesterday. A lot cleaner than previous weeks.
Yeah, i didnt mind neds game.. 10 game player.. we need to persist and have patience.

i watched the replay last night.. Murphy and Rowe were both hot garbage.

murphy literally chased his opponent all day but couldnt manage to get within 2m of him most of the time. But who have we got ready to replace murph?.. pedlar?, Cook?.. they both look a little underdone and not match fit.. but I said the same about TT, and still said they should put him in last week..

Rowe provided nothing. Bring in newchurch, he cant be any worse.

one of tex, fog, himm or TT has to come out.. just way too tall. We’re not dropping tex and certainly not TT after that game. So its out of fog and himm. I’m sticking with fog because I want to see him get more midfield minutes and i want TT and tex given more space in the 50.. Watching the replay, fog did some good things in traffic.. think the longer he plays there the fitter/leaner/bigger tank he will get and thats a good thing. Himm still dropping basic marks, took some strong marks, dropped some easy ones. He and frampton are both prone to often having cement hands and I dont think its something that will ever change.

mcadam was pathetic.. MOTY is what he was playing for yesterday. Seriously Shane, **** MOTY. He played behind his man all ****ing day.. we kicked into the wind for three quarters so of course the incoming ball was gonna drop. Man in front was always at an advantage. So mcadam goes and plays behind his opponent, genius!

not dropping him though. Havent got a replacement at this point in time, but someone should sit him down and make him watch the game and embarrass the **** out of him over it. Tell him to pull his head in.

mcpherson needs to go find some of last years form.. go find it in the SANFL. Dumb cute hand balls in the D50 resulting in turnovers and goals kill you. Mcasey in. We need another tall in defense. Mcasey has played well the past two weeks in the SANFL.

hamill.. gonna be a long term gun for the club if his body holds up.. love the run he provides from the D50 and he has great skills.. but has had ankle issues in nearly every game this year.. it blew up yesterday. Get it fixed and dont play him again until it is. Bring in worrell.
