The forward line isn’t performing and are letting the ball out too quickly, but what hope are we giving them with the slow and then bomb delivery? Nicks also pushes at least one of them up the ground to try and improve our defensive work so they are outnumbered back there. He’s gone back to his 2022 defensive playbook.

Hamill is quick but with deficiencies, Jones is quick, then there is the next crop. Michalanney is quick, whilsy Ryan, Edwards and Dowling move pretty wellDo we actually have players that can run? And don't give me this Sholl garbage.
We are so devoid of run, especially from the backline and wings.
Guys that have the speed to actually lose their opponent to come up and take a mark or on offense run at defences to pull the opposition out of their shape.
As a slow and unskillful midfield, trying to pin point passes to contested situations is the worst possible outcome.
Who is there to actually to select though?
I’ll take your word for it, I’m sick of listening to Nicks
I'm hoping for more tweets like this, especially from places like The Advertiser. Anything that increases the pressure Nicks feels to play the kids (especially Dowling and Nankervis), the better.
Agreed. When we we on last year the Crows were one of the most exciting teams to watch in the AFL. Now they're the most boring. WTF have they been training in the offseason?Yep they're being coached to slow the game down. That video from vardymagic shows it all, Laird chip kicks it down to crouch out on the wing, who holds play up to kick it long down the line.
We should be taking risks, playing through the corridor and making sure our forwards are playing in front and we are hitting our lead up forwards on the lead, not making them take contested marks. Its a horrible game plan
I think it's partly a talent issue. We have not drafted or developed players well. There are no excuses this year, they can’t hide behind ‘inexperience’ and ‘rebuild’ anymore. I don’t think it’s a talent issue, that’s why this start is so frustrating.
It's hard to fathom the decision to totally change our game plan from the free flowing attacking style that we saw last year to the slow stagnant style we are rolling out this year. How did they think that was a good idea??Agreed. When we we on last year the Crows were one of the most exciting teams to watch in the AFL. Now they're the most boring. Yep. It's BS.It's hard to fathom the decision to totally change our game plan from the free flowing attacking style that we saw last year to the slow stagnant style we are rolling out this year. How did they think that was a good idea??
You can tell the playing group is massively struggling with the change in game plan too, last year they had the freedom to attack and show flair. Now they all look confused and have to 2nd guess their first instinct which is to take the game on.

Haven't looked at it again, so could be wrong, Dawson's first clearance off his wrong leg that wobbled out of bounds for a free against included burning a player in a better position to kick meaningfully forward. Looked like a player was about 5m away on the defensive side but would be under no pressure.
Still hope I reckon, they will have had a run today and maybe are still working through the sideYeah if Dowling hasn’t been announced yet I can’t see it, bloody conservative coaches
It’ll probably be Nank for Milera, Berry for Murphy, Pedlar sub
If it’s Hamill instead of Nank I’ll just laugh
No one cares anymore. Club is broken.Looking like Dowling won’t play which is a joke. Gold Coast are debuting 3 players this weekend but we go for continuity consistently resulting in us having to watch the same spuds every week.

AFC '' people ask why Gold Coast can debut 3 players this week, Well we say look at how many games they have won ''Looking like Dowling won’t play which is a joke. My guess is they've already been told by the club he's playingI'm hoping for more tweets like this, especially from places like The Advertiser. Anything that increases the pressure Nicks feels to play the kids (especially Dowling and Nankervis), the better.
Not the worst idea.Burn West Lakes down and start again.
Maybe hand the license to Norwood.
