He didn't get a chance to redeem himself which was poor from MC Rd 1 can be a bit rusty for some players even senior players in away games ..
Still beating this drum eh?

Eric has been an excellent servant for WCE. Was a shame he missed AA selection.

But he is now done. I'm not sure why you think he should be given another crack at it.

sheed may have had 18 touches but IMO he had a better game than both Gaff/shuey/priddis/mitchell. He was composed and his skills were very good. had something ike 5 inside 50's and 3-4 of them were all tracer bullet that our forwards marked. I see no Priddis comparrison as he has elite foot skills.

Young blood. Don't care if they offer less TBH, like you said, that performance was rank.
Jetta has blown chance after chance and been dropped more times than a cricket ball. I just personally can't stand that they are even considering him after the shit he has served up since coming from COLA. Hell, Hutchy would offer heart and intent at least.
The Giants will have their tails up and I want youth and enthusiasm.

Do you call playing one game and getting dropped for the next game as blowing chance after chance? Jetta played rounds 2-7 (3 of these games coincided with our 3 worst games for the year), 10, 13, 15, 16, 22 and 23 last year and rounds 1 and 3 this year - hardly any continuity there. Contrast that with Redden who played 13 consecutive games before getting dropped last year and 9 rounds straight this year. I am not defending Jetta in anyway so do not want to get in to an argument with anybody over relative merits of including Jetta and Redden.

I think Sheed is a good kick, another Redden - you've got to be taking the piss, a poor man's Priddis - absolutely not. Sheed is one of the few rays of hope for this team. Sheed can get the ball and he can deliver it, there aren't too many players you could say that about in the current team.
Thank you! I was starting to think was I watching Sheed through blue & gold glasses, but at least there's one other person who can see Dom is ahead of both Priddis & Redden. Also he is still young and has room for plenty of improvement, particularly considering the previous 2 seasons he's had injury woes so his body is still adjusting.

The fact that both those two spudding up hasn't helped sheed out as well as he is stuck playing more of an outside role.

For the life of me I will never understand why a recent all-Australian full-back has been dispatched to the wilderness by Simpson.

And I reject Simpson's bullshit about McKenzie not adapting to his game plan. What freaking game plan?

I'd bring Easy in this week, keep Barrass and allow McGovern to play a switch hitting role if need be, without robbing Peter to pay Paul.

This will give the team much needed flexibility.

In Petrie? Was he good in the twos?
Same for Jetta? Really? WTF will he bring Kraz? Srs question!:)
Whats the solution in your opinion - srs question - as we have to surely make some changes after that debacle against Essendon.

Agree regarding Sheed who I think will be better than P. Cripps. Actually everybody in the Essendon team is ahead of Redden - lowest disposal tally for an Essendon player is 9, Redden had 8 disposals.

sheed is a 4th year mid with 44 games of experience and mature frame. Sure he hasn't set the world on fire but he has shown a lot more than Promise. Its the perfect time for him to move on ball and he would have already done so at a lot of clubs. Forgot about a defensive and let Sheed play as 4th on baller (reddens role). The dream would be no priddis but its safe as houses he will retain his spot. In that case move mitch to half back with stints on ball. Move Mutimer into the middle and let him and Duggan rotate more through the middle.

However, That involve simmo and MC having some serious balls.

We really missed the 1v1 strength of emac against Essendon, he was a good fit for playing on daniher and playing barrass and McGovern as intercept players.
The problem is that our game most times doesn't need this.
Do we need emac against gws?

Fire up the Delorean and take us back to 2014 and get Easy back into the side.

Yes, it's really been THAT long.

Interesting data on AFL Footy On The Couch tonight showing the West Coast leaders not standing up in oyr losses.

Shows Ranking points for our top 10 when we win and lose.

So this is really the flat track bully club with Yeo, JK, Sam, Hurn and Mcgov as the serial offenders.

If that's just for 2017 games it means little.

Sample size of three games when we've been smashed in all of them. Your ranking points will always tend to be low in big losses.

Shannon Hurn -30. He is not a leader. All these pitiful collapses since 2015 rest with him. He goes missing when the going gets tough.

Got his pants pulled down preseason too.

He's done. Just doesn't have the strength to go with the big forwards now and no longer has the mobility for the quicker wiry types.

It's sad, he was absolutely elite and deserved an AA.

Lol you could have just described Barrass game right there ..I get he is young and still learning but I do have some concerns with Tommy at the minute not that he will fail but is very up and down in consistency ..

Now re EMac:
Pre season games are just that building fitness and implementing game plan strategies they are not played at high intensity ..

Anyway he would have still been able to go with Hooker body to body and on the lead ..His leadership and experience would have been very valuable just my opinion and doesn't appear to be very popular ..

Yeo seems much better in losses than in previous years. Jk would obviously suffer when the delivery isnt there. Both of them played ok yesterday.

Did they show this for other top teams as well? I suspect this would be similar for other teams too.

He`s still on the list and waiting for his chance again so be prepared to see him come back in ,its not your call to say he`s done just opinions whether shitty or correct ..

It was Geelong's turn last week and this week they are reverting to the Flat Trackers! So no, just us as Simmo was the guest and they set the scene pretty well.

Do we really need the heart palpitations that Emac brings whenever he has to kick the footy? Last week without him was bad enough so no thanks

Disposal in the WAFL has been fine

The pressure and tactics employed by sides like GWS will be at a whole different level to the WAFL.

Conversely it's not your call to say Eric should be given another crack?

Why go back to him, when we need to develop Barrass?

I'm intrigued as to your constant pumping up Erics inclusion. That is going backwards.

How has the pressure been at that level?

Huge call but can see the possibility of it happening. Already a few players in his draft class have gone passed him and some catching up to him. Sheeds got more tricks up his sleeves and if can improve his production and improve his contested game, he would end up being of of the classier mids going around.
