In: Masten, Waters
Out: Smith Sheppard

Sub Hutcings out mid 3rd term for Dalziel. Hutcho will be our next gen gun. Dont trust the ranga enough to run out a whole game yet, but i was surprised at his quality of footy last week. Especially his goal.

Please Sheppard offers us more with his attacking taking on the game style of play and has clean disposal by foot. Something we really lack.

His goal from 50 was such a delight considering how often those shots have been missed so far this year. Rosa sealing the game from 45 ala Hunter was also great.

After tonight i'm not sure if DK will be selected and might be getting a run for Easts against Claremont instead

INS: Waters, Masten, Kerr ** (if selected)

OUTS: Smith, Hutchings, Dalziell ** (if Kerr plays)

I'd like to see McGinnity play if fit enough. Ideally to lock down on the dangerous Thomas. Brennan would come out imo
Struggling to see the point of Kerr playing for EF. Is better than most of our midfielders going at half pace. His experience and poise is very important to the team.

IN:

A.Selwood. rly gud player has premership medel n tons of experience. obvs in.
A.Embley. nortsmith medelist, duh. can kick goals n run hard.
B.Dick. kickd a massiv bag once so u put hem in automaticly.

OUT:

S.Hurn. wats this guy even doin on our squad cent even catch garlett.
M.Priddis. y he even in the team put darlin in the middle 4 grunt. priddis cant even play outside mid y he getting a spot as inside mid? lyke why pick a player 4 one position if dey cant play a completly diffrent 1? makes 0 cents.
A.Smith. y u gotta give a fast devender a game gainst a team with tons of quick fwards?

Don't understand all the enthusiasm for Dalziell. Kicked a goal he should have kicked and acquired 11 very unobtrusive possessions. Still a very average footballer to my mind. Not convinced.

I agree, stat-wise was pretty good but I hardly noticed him otherwise considering he had so much of it. He did well, but I wasn't mind blown. I just don't see him as best 22; for example rosa came in after limited game time this season and played a similar role to what dalziell has played this season and you could see the difference he made on the game.

don't want shep dropped.

Not everything he does is star-touched, but he's been around awhile and has the nous to run into spaces whenever others are tiring. In the Brissie game, he was always running into space and opened the game up for us. We couldn't find any space till he came on. Did well.

he was fresh, we subbed a tall defender out for another runner in a game that had pretty tough conditions. Of course he was going to find space and open the game up.

That should be expected by the sub.

Norths entire 22 from last week plus Grima and Harper have travelled over to Perth.

Harper must be the insurance for Swallow/Mullet.
Grima is an issue to contend with - has proven good form locking down Darling. If this happens it will take some careful work in the forward line to make sure Grima can't exploit that to play help defence. Although this year they'll have Le Cras forward to think about, which they had the luxury of not dealing with last year.

Is this a joke?

They may play - it's always a risk though. Sometimes it works like Hodge. Other times... well, Yarran is the latest exemplar. Rolling the dice on his hamstrings at the match selection table may very well have been what lost 4 premiership points for Carlton.

I think Masten is a bigger in at this stage...i think you will find they will make sure Kerr is 100% so come to the pointy end of the year he will become a weapon.

I doubt it will be choice that leaves him out. If he's capable Worsfold will play him.

You don't want to be flirting with chance too many times or the season will quietly slip away.
