I don't think the club can mess around with resting players now, or else there's a chance we could finish 5th if we lose the last 3 games. I sincerely hope the club gets a lambasting on all the footy shows tonight, they deserve it. Maybe it'll give them the sting they need to play with heart, like they did in the first half of the season. Not this soft crap they've dished out since the bye. A lot of reputations are on the line this season at the club, and another finals failure will not bode well for the coaching group.

Even dropping two of last three would see us fall to 5th. GWS would catch us on percentage in that scenario. They have Gold Coast to come.

See the issue here folks is that you forgot to take into account the 'Geelong player' loading. Upgrades the fine into a week off.

I don't mind giving Narkle a go, but the speed thing is a mindset.
Bringing in one quick player isn't going to help unless players start taking chances and playing on quickly.

Henderson was 100x better than Kolo, but Board favourite Kolo remains unscathed and, unbelievably, widely defended.

He was horrible on the weekend, but only a few have publicly said so.

He may.....may....deserve a free pass for a totally crap performance based on a run of decent games earlier in the season...so lets see if he can pull his finger out

That may be all very well, but recent "experimentations" indicate he doesn't really know who are best 22 right now....particularly given some shit performances by some individuals recently.

I expect you will get a hard hit out, but that's not necessarily bad from a finals tune up perspective.

The ground and it dimensions is still a significant advantage to Geelong, but it does take away space and provide more body on body scenarios which plays to our strengths. Overcoming the defensive choke which that ground affords, will be our biggest hurdle.

Insipid is the perfect descriptor.
The defence held up pretty well for 3 quarters considering our wings and mids offered little help by applying pressure or pushing back.

The small Freo forwardline played wide of each other which allowed them to run into space and spread our defenders - hate to say it but great coaching from sour puss.
