I suppose there is always the possibility that Suban did what was asked of him in terms of structures and contributed overall to Ross's grand plan. Has shown he can be a damaging player at times so perhaps he's getting 2 in a row to try and build some confidence and run.

On Fox League teams they mentioned Sandilands has pulled out of a planned quarter time Foxtel interview, suggesting he may play

People overestimate how much difference someone like Lower would make. It would be very minimal. Fyfe and McPharlin make a huge difference, so that is all that matters ... the team selection is fine.

There has to be more to it as others have suggested. It's the only explanation.

The simple explanation is that Lower is just 1 week back from a major concussion. If anyone does not perform in the midfield on Saturday he will be back in next week.

Absolutely. It's a really strong team and we should win well :D

No Lower hurts, hopefully they just waiting till the NMFC game, surprised to see Suban still named, hope he can turn his season around, 70M player

****, he's not bad is he. Strikes me as a pure footballer. Good decision making, good kick, tough as nails. Knows where to put the footy to advantage. We'll see what happens I guess.

Yeah, really surprised he's not getting a game on the back of that performance. He reminds me a bit of Josh Carr in stoppages, just that sort of upright kicking style and general in and under mongrel. Nice card to have up our sleeves should we progress into September.

Predictions of 3-6 outs shows how delusional the supporters are. Nothing more ;)

Regarding Lower - Barlow mentioned that for a while he was fine for several training sessions, then would feel it again. They are likely going to give him another game in the WAFL, monitor him again, and then make an assessment. Who would you drop from the midfield rotation for him?
If they were concerned for him feeling it again or any such aftereffects, I can't understand why he'd be playing football at any level this week then?

All I'm saying is - better they treat him a little conservatively and he has a recurrence in the WAFL than in the AFL during a crunch game? If the nausea is related to moving - a couple of games in the WAFL would be better for him than just training drills to assess where he's at. If that makes more sense?

I havent slept in 2 days, it may not :p I know what I'm trying to say - just not coming out right lol

Yeah look I'm an angry Aboriginal. I edited it and cut out some stuff - I think the Lower out is killing me more than the Walters ommisions (spelling?) earlier on in the year.
But son son doing so well now you must be happy! Class! Can't be far off a Marn Grook appearance. Maybe next year ay.

They only interview/cover Melbourne-based indigenous players.

I remember Hilly having a blinder one week last year and they interviewed Matt Thomas .

Yeah, some scrubby kicks but good decision making.

Was more impressed with the attack on the ball. He's still a step above everyone else in our side in that aspect (including even De Boer). Would be nice to see him get a spot rotation between a forward flank, on-ball and the bench. He won't be picked as a first choice on-baller while we still have Fyfe, Barlow and Mundy all available.

Was pleasantly surprised by some of his kicks... as I don't think his kicking is particularly good. Definitely more of a fetcher than a distributor. Don't know enough about footy to understand the decision making aspect, but he looked composed in traffic and took a bit of time while evading/balking the defenders rather than just slamming it on the boot.

i think thats the idea, my mate always laughs at Lower becasue he is his own worst enemy, just cant help himself, so maybe they hoping we get over richmond and NMFC and use Lower as a finals player

after watching Lowers highlights from last week its little wonder he is getting head injuries ,the blokes a kamakazi pilot...seems to jump into packs head first...love his attack on the ball but needs to protect himself more
