If only this there possible, but I'd like to see 6 of the best SANFL players, not aligned to either Port or the Crows, to come in for our 6 worst players.

With two unforced changes certain, the selection panel led by caretaker coach Garry Hocking does have some scope to omit underperforming players with backman Alipate Carille a logical replacement for Chaplin should he pass a fitness test this week.

Jasper Pittard will also undergo a fitness test after sustaining rib and lung injuries a month ago against Melbourne after colliding with teammate Chad Wingard.

Wingard himself, along with Tom Jonas and Jacob Surjan, will also be tested for fitness this week coming from respective glute, back and calf/groin injuries.

Surjan is likely to return through Port Adelaide’s SANFL side.

Let's face it, he's not getting the gig if KT has anything to say about it (or any of the supporters).

In fairness to Hocking, the only other options at the moment are Salopek and Phillips. And it's clear that neither will be considered for AFL selection so their cards are already stamped. Surjan probably isn't fit for AFL and Banner, Irons and Curnow aren't even cracking their respective league sides.
