If Tommy is finally back, I'd lean towards dropping Weideman and bringing in TMac and Pedersen. Pedo is more versatile and can essentially play anywhere, and it'd be good keeping Tom away from the ruck for a couple of weeks.

Personally would prefere he had a run in the 2s first , only cause I don't trust our medicos with foot .problems

Cause he's so much less prone to injury at VFL level?

I think he should play at Casey purely for match fitness.

That's fine. But eventually potential is just an excuse for not good enough and I don't see an environment thats improving players

Petracca has been average this year, Clarry has leveled out for sure. Hunt has regressed ever since Goody took over. Harmes ANB Stretch have all fallen over completely. The list goes on
I agree with you for the most part and in general. But just to clarify, Hunt has not regressed “under Goodwin”. Firstly, he’s only played somewhere between 5-10 decent games to date, and all were under Goodwin.

If tmac is fit I reckon straight back into the senior side. He’s got what, 8 or more preseasons behind him now and we know he’s a supremely fit bloke. If his foot is truly right (which I’m sure it isn’t but that’s another matter), then he can come straight in I reckon.

Release the Spargo.

I like him. I talked to him once and he seems cool. His hair was terrible but he has a boss mafia name.
Just play all the future cult figures in one round. Spargo (extremely tiny hard at it small forward), Balic (the rumour mill), and Forward!Tom McDonald

Agreed. You just get that feeling.
I'm liking a lot of players after pick 15 from last year's draft. Don't rate the first round at all, think we did okay trading out of it, and our four picks hopefully speak to a pretty decent stack of players later in the draft that could have gone earlier under different conditions. Seems like we drafted some immediate impact types who maybe don't have huge upside but will be good role players.

No, don't you remember it was a weak draft after the first round.

Oh shit, true! And this year's first round is the strongest in living memory which we're going to regret even though we only had one pick in it anyway!

Not sure why they named Spargo on the extended bench while also confirming his debut on Twitter etc. TMac a guaranteed in I reckon provided he's fit, which is huge. Will play a similar role to Trac I reckon, roaming forward with stints on ball. Jeffy out. Final bench likely Spargo, Fritsch, TMac, and Wagner.

Also huge red flag if Balic doesn't play VFL this weekend, for mine

In: Fritsch, Hannan, Forward strategy, Stoppage strategy

Out: Garlett, Petracca, Fumbling, Turnovers, Despair

Would have liked to give Vince's worn old legs a rest after the short break, but there's not much pickings from which to replace him.
