Pushed off contest by an 18 year old first year player, bombed high to no one down the line or into the pockets, cheap last quarter possessions when the game was done as per usual, burned teammates and got totally outsprinted using his elite pace...LOL. Keep lapping up the dmac Kool aid though, only 2 years and 800 grand more to go. He's hartlett without the kicking and tackling, front runner of the highest order.

Why don't you give me an anlaysis then of Atkins and Seedsmans games ......and deduct the two give-me goals to Seedsman and include the turnovers of Atkins

If Jacobs plays this week then we've lost the plot.

Mackay is going to be useless against any decent team. But he did work his way in during the second quarter whilst Essendon was capitulating so that should be enough to secure his spot.

Atkins will want to be very careful. He hasn't been terrible but he's had a pretty mediocre month.

Atkins was poor, no doubt, but he has a high ceiling ala McGovern, mackays ceiling is today, cheap touches and a few 30 m runs, that's fine but he won't turn a game. Atkins will. Seedsman can't handball, but if Mackay kicked those you would be taking him up as a bog contender. Seedsman adds a dimension thatnmackay doesn't posses, the ability to kick over a zone. Lose the dmac bifocals.

Are so we don't judge players on form .....Atkins will be good, so we can accept a number of crap games, because he may be good next year ......BTW did you watch Atkins final last year b4 he was dragged at 3/4 time ......but hey, lets play him in this years g=finals irrespective of form

About 3 mins into the last quarter Mackay receives a handball and is 10-15m in the clear. He slows down, he pauses, he looks up and chip kicks the ball at about a 60 degree angle so it goes higher than it does long to a two on one...just typical Mackay. He can't even make horrendous turnovers because he just kicks the ball down the line. At least Atkins pulls the trigger on some tough kicks.

Then about midway through the quarter the ball is rolling out of play but to Mackay's advantage side with first year, 25kg player Darcy Parish on his tail...Parish bumps Mackay out of the way with ease and gives a handball to his teammate. mackay recovers in time to attempt a tackle, the Essendon player walks through him and delivers to the forward 50. Mackay is all endeavour and no effectiveness.

I know Seedsman and Atkins had some bad clangers, but Seedsman also kicks goals from 70m. Or when he kicks it into the 50m it's dangerous (long kick to top of goal square 3rd quarter is a good example..besides B Smith no one else could even get it that far).

Can the Mackay fans provide some good Mackay plays for the day, just so i can understand specific plays where they value his contribution?

Hampton is an upgrade from McKay IMO. He did not have a particularly bad game, but Hampton looks to play that line breaking role with Kore damage. Thommo looks cooked and CEY is like for like

I agree he won't be dropped. The coaches like him. He must add something to the team us outsiders don't see. That is just my outsiders opinion.

I don't think he is particularly bad. Just think Hampton plays a similar role and he looks to be more damaging.

Would have to be doubts that Hampton would run out a game at AFL level just now. Although, with Brisbane and Freo coming up, it could fast track him.

I agree Hampton and Menzel are potential players to play the wing role ......but ATS Atkins hasn't the consistency (he's worse than Mackay in that respect) , and Seedsman i put on a par with Mackay ......it's just that Seedsman hasn't the Crows bias from supporters YET?
