Great win, now we have to win another sudden death match and then another after that. Dogs are in almost an identical situation to us, looser of this match is GORNEEEEEEEEEEEEE

The Neitz situation will be closely monitored, who replaces him? perhaps not a forward if ND believes Holland, Robbo and Miller can act as the 3 key position forwards.

Nathan Brown was injured and Whelan 2 wasnt he? what is the situation there?

Chris Johnson apparently was BOG for sandy so maybe a call up for him

i reckon we should not bring in PJ or Jamar cos Whitey played a blinder on his own, granted it was against a pretty weak Geelong ruck division, especially after Ottens went off, but the dogs don't have a very strong ruck division either.

i don't think anyone can really be dropped after the Geelong game. the only one that might come into contention would be Daniel Bell but he had limited game time and should get a 2nd go, especially after 19 possies the week before

Chris Grant injured his shoulder today and knowing him he will be no certainty to play us. the dogs rely on a lot of a wide spread of goalkickers and most of them are small. maybe fergy will play on a shorter guy like Murphy or Johnson in a bit of a surprise move?

Whelan, Bizzell, Bell and Brown will be very important this week.

i reckon we still need Neitz or atleast Holland down at FF to take Harris away from Robbo so Robbo can play on a lesser opponent, like Rooke on Saturday (though i was very pleased that he did kick a few goals on Scarlett)

Well we have a few stars fit and ready to come back in next week. Green and Macca will be fit and im sure they will side right back in.
How long is Rivers and Bruce off a return?

I think Nicho should go out (Remember when he rucked against the Dogs  ) not because of Saturday I thought he was OK just got cut up by Kingsley who is more of a leading forward, Nicho is best suited to a 3rd tall ruck. He won't have anyone to match up on this week so I say bring in Carroll because he's got a bit more pace. If Grant plays he worries me but the Doggies don't have any other tall forwards that I would really worry about.

Their smalls are the danger. We will have to win in the middle this week because it was the catalyst vs Geelong and we went in HARD in the 2nd half and that set it up. Hopefully if Greens come back in he can keep up the trend and our whole midfield goes hard.

BTW, it was good to see Beamer show Geelong that he was a far bigger loss than they thought :D .

Davey_magik, if you remember no-one actually wanted him to go, and we all know he was good... thats why we had to give him away to get the good draft pick that secured ottens..... We knew he could play, we all did

yes but many of the cats supporters continually rate him less then every one of your midfielders which just aint correct.

guys like Ling and Corey yeh probably but i'd much rather 20 of Moloney's touches then 30 of Lings cos ya know most of Beamers will go inside 50 from half back and quite often to one of our forwards

Let them underrate them, we know who got the better end of the deal.

The ruck has been our strong point to getting up over the last 4 weeks with Minson and street.

Will Rivers return this week? and if he is ready to return will Danners play him?

Hmmm also JMac is apparently recovered from injury as has Green so who gets dropped?

Robertson and Neitz are the keys to you guys IMO. We tend to be able to score pretty heavily but our defence is sieve like so if those two can fire the dees will bring it home.

You guys should have a lot of confidence after beating the cats down at skilled last weekend. Good effort.

Still think the dogs will get home but maybe by only a kick or two.

rivers wont be back, ND wouldnt risk him and im pretty sure that he isn't ready anyway. he may play vs essendon, not sure.

JMac will be ready but is there a spot for him? we already have Green coming back

I can't take another thriller. If we're going to lose I hope we get waffled.

Judging by the article on afl.com.au, he may return this week after all. Shoudnt be played until hes 120% fit though.

yes i read that 2 just then actually, im still not 100% sure he will play. Dogs dont have many tall forwards so maybe for team balance he wont play him, like against the roos. who will be come in for? Bell most likely.

i guess that, as a defender and one that likes to spoil a lot his hand and wrist is vital so we don't want to take any risks. yes this is a do or die match but do you honestly think that a 20-21 year old centre half back coming back from injury is going to change the result completly. if we are good, we should win without him.

anyway i would love to see him back though, one of my favourite players.

Rivers trained strongly yesterday with a glove to protect his hand. Will play without a doubt.
Is rivers a quick player. The one thing that gets under the guard of alot of backmen that play on Bob Murphy is his genuine leg speed. He is very quick of a standing start and has an extra burst, which is decieving because he looks so casual most other times. Bob has also done the job on Russell Roberston on a few occasions so he could be an option if Robbo gets to be a handfull up forward. Should be a cracker of a game, I wont wish you guys luck, but i will say may the best team win!

Cheers!

It's an elimination final. If your not going to risk him now, then don't ********en bother at all. Having said that, don't know if I would want him playing against the dogs with there forward line and mid. The mid is where we are really going to have to clamp down on this weekend if we are to win.
