Jacko may be an issue. Doogy in
Leinert is he a possibility for Pole Cat?
Think Jasper will kill it for the magpies and comes straight back though.
White for Neade.

I don't believe we can bring Doogy in with out dropping Jacko we are lacking in run as it is.

Robbie Gray is a problem. Much like Betts at the Crows.
Howard is much faster and agile than Jacko.

I would like to bring in the tall forward who is most likely to be able to play in a final at the G, since we are playing there next game.

For me that is Eddy with his experience, forward smarts and excellent delivery.

Would not be disappointed by Howard or Marshall though.

Would also prefer Palmer in than Atley etc - tough, one more pre-season and can kick goals. Don't know enough about his tank though.

But Pittard for Polec though will be the only change.

I, and no doubt many other posters would have no problem with Jacko returning to defence, but that means Jack Hombsch, whose form has been very ordinary would probably be squeezed out, maybe onto the interchange.

The trade off with the move of Jacko would be that Charlie would have to be the back up ruckman, as even if doogie is selected I doubt he would be risked, particularly at centre bounces.

my team

fwds Eddy Doogs Wingard
h/fwd R. Gray Dixon Westhoff
centre Pittard Boak Ebert
h/back Houston Trengove Broadbent
backs DBJ Clurey Jonas

ruck Ryder Wines SPP

int Hartlett, Hombsch, Spray, Neade

emg Impey, Young

That forward 6 looks more potent than the continued banging of the ball onto the heads of garden gnomes, and the defence looks better balanced with our only genuine tall defender back in it, but we know it won't happen. ;)

I did like Ebo last night trying to pass to Neade, with two opposition players twice is height standing next to him!

I agree with a lot of this, but not all. The balance of talls to smalls was right last night, it was the personnel that was the problem. 2 big tall forwards who aren't lead up players hurt. If we're going to play Charlie who is more of a contested marker then we need a natural lead up forward to play along side him. Ryder is probably that man, but clearly we don't have 2 of them. So for mine there'll only be 1 change up forward, Trengove out of the forward line for Howard OR Eddy. We won't select both.

For me Trengove will offer more than Hombsch down back who seems horribly out of form. So I'd drop Hombsch right out of the team. I can't also see why Trengove can't still switch in and out of ruck from defence. We played with 2 key backs most of last year and we're fine, so we can manage it for patches.

I think we need White's ball use and speed, so I think he will replace Polec.

DBJ was probably under the pump the most to hold his spot, but last night he returned to form big time. So I can't see Pittard coming back in. Unless it's at the expense of Young, and we do some other shuffling.

Assuming White goes ok today I would be happy with him replacing Polec, and no argument from me re Hombsch dropping out of the team altogether. :)

Would Neade be picked next week by any other AFL club. No

He has one mediocre game against Westies who are the eqivalent of an amatuer league club at the mo..I cant remember him having a good afl game without racking up a bit in junk time

When are we going to learn..Can you imagine Neade in a final where front on attacks are required

Agree with you that one should happen but I don't think ether will, especially as Dougal has only had 6 kicks and 5 marks early in the last quarter.

I can't agree with bringing in White. He was a waste of space in our loss to GWS and has done little if anything in the SANFL. And even though the opponent was just Brisbane I saw a lot more effort in Young in the second half. He looked to be just marking time in the first half but then in the second half he played like someone who had had a strong talking to. What I would do, but I can't see Ken doing this as he seems to have fallen into the trap of making midfielders defenders is bring Pittard back into the defence and put Hartlett on Polec's wing position. Neade should never have been brought in and should go out for Ah Chee who at least gives us another marking target in the forward lines. Ken could also do with putting Boak back to where he was playing successfully a few years ago.

For me would be Polec and Neade out. Bring in Eddy/Howard and Palmer. Trengove goes back, Hartlett to a wing.
Collingwood have Darcy Moore and that's it. We certainly don't need Trengove, Jonas, Clurey and Hombsch back there. Bet you anything Eddy doesn't come in. Which is utter crap, but it won't happen.
