When was the last time Westhoff was good, whether we were 6 goals up or otherwise?

Yep,he's been poor most of the year but is at least versatile. Both he and Motlop can win a game, neither look like doing so, but at least Westy can ruck, intercept mark etc.

Westhoff has been poor most of the season. Only way he comes in is if Ladhams or Lycett & Marshall get injured.

A farewell game that's not in front of your home crowd isn't much of a farewell game.

Plus, whether people like it or not, he's still in the selection mix and is only an injury or suspension away from getting a recall.

Only ones in the mix to replace Farrell could be woodcock or Mead if he's at the level I'd think. Gotta be able to deliver the ball effectively inside 50. As good as Georgiades is, he's not in the mix to replace farrell.

Woodcock hasn't played a bad game for the club at AFL level, and it's been about two months since Farrell played a good game for the club at AFL level.

Why does there need to be a 'point'? Woodcock is just a better footballer in better form. That's the point.

With Butters to come in for the final, I’d be giving Kane one last week to stake a claim for that spot. Show us what you’re made of boy or sit out the finals. Boyd is great depth but with all things going well we won’t see him again this year.

Also it’s great to have Marshall leading up the ground and delivering into the 50 well but he’s selected as a KPF and we need him kicking goals. Has to start finding a way to get on the scoresheet.

Should be Farrell out but without access to data and coaches thoughts and whatnot hard to name an in. Woodcock was obviously dropped for a reason, likely lack of defensive pressure, but hard to know if he has gone away and worked on that. Hopefully he has.

Sutcliffe and Mayes offer medium sized versatility whilst Westhoff offers us tall versatility. All three players have their haters. I think objectively Mayes and Sutcliffe have been serviceable role players whilst Westhoff has been horribly out of form, but has experience and potential if he finds form. Also kicked 4 goals in his last scratch match. Pies seem to play quite tall from what have seen so it could well be Westhoff in.

I wouldn’t have a problem with whoever the coaches choose as it won’t make the difference in the game and I am sure would be a good reason for whoever they choose, whether it be trying to get Westy some form, Westy being a good match up for height, or just getting some run into the legs of whoever so they have some sort of touch should they be needed in finals due to injury.

If I had to make a call, would prefer like for like in terms of height and position, that would service us for a finals campaign, so f*** it, bring in Sutcliffe, haters gonna hate.

Im hoping we keep Hoff on the list next year. Right now we have a low injury toll and so dont need him, but who knows next year. He provides great experienced depth in so many different roles. This should just probably be his last season with games in a healthy best 22.
