I'd be happy with either of Atley or Drew for S. Gray. I'd even be satisfied with either for R. Gray if he needs the rest.

I just don't want it to be one week before we see the return of 'KPF's must kick 7 goals first game, whilst plug and play mids can have plenty of chances' selections. Eddy himself didn't get in the scoring last week, but the improvement to our forward line with him there was certainly a 'the whole is greater then the sum of its parts' situation. Melt is on hold ready to spring into action.

And will add I'm definitely in the camp that hates Sunday games partly for the shit of the extended bench. I wonder if our record on Sundays over Hinkleys tenure has been any better then overall? Watch each of the games this year. In each of the 4 matches we looked far better with Eddy on the field. In each game , with Eddy on field, our structure looked better and our overall performance improved. Ask Charlie Dixon about having another genuine key forward in the team aside from him, without Brett Eddy we are very predictable , just like 2016.

Yep, but in fairness Jacko's not a bad shot for goal and always gives a contest. Austin played full games v North and Sturt

He seems to read the play well and has a decent mark. He also tries to create from there to some effect.

If we drop Eddy on a dry still day which is Sunday's forecast, it shows Ken hasn't changed and Lade doesn't have much influence on him. We play him on a wet slippery ground ie before the rain started in the 2nd half and a cramped ground where he doesn't have as much space to maximise his acceleration on the lead. Just dumb if we drop him.

Dropping Eddy could create a sliding doors moment that defines the rest of our season.

We won't know if he can genuinely improve our forward line, until we've given him at least a month at the top level. Having him kick 6 goals in the SANFL is not going to reveal anything we don't already know.

We've just beaten the Swans. I'm comfortable with us going in unchanged. I was pretty unimpressed by Impey in the JLT series, and wouldn't even make the case that he brings much more than Amon or Sam Gray at this stage. I certainly don't want him in the team over Eddy.
