No im talking about him taking a mark, moving enough to create some space between him and the man on the mark and quickly kicking it. None of this "go back far enough to have a run up" and throwing it blindly on the boot. He should be blindly throwing it onto his boot as quick as he can.
He also needs to confidently kick through the ball with purpose. His approach and execution reflects a player who expects to miss. No good for the scoreboard or team morale.
