Any chance of Dawson being included as second ruck?

He's better around the ground than Clarke, makes a contest and can go back and shut someone down if required.

Dawson has to come in. Griffiths from Richmond with 3 last quarter goals. Clarke will stay in too. 2 ruckmen no matter what. Ibbotson, unfortunately, is needed down back. Defence need Ibbo/Dawson/A. Pearce. Works better that way.

Their kids is better than us experience wise, don't really care who come in , if we can win this one.

Seriously, Ibbo should get his eyes tested, if he hasnt already. 100% not joking, you just can't lose it overnight like he has without a reason.

Real surprised to see Clancee get inside mid time today. That is in front of Barlow and even in front of De Boer. I'm not against MdB playing if it is an inside mid, but tbh I'd prefer Clancee.

I would just bring whatever footsoldiers 2013 available against Richmond, surely with GF experience they should beat tiger easily.:D
Barlow,C.Pearce, suban ,sutty, ibbo, clarke ,deboer ,gu must all play to get our first win.

We need to minimise the changes Hill will miss so replace with mobile player tucker or grey
Sutcliffe needs time at peel to work on a few things and replace with tommy.
Pav in to replace Gu. If we need a tall defender it's time we gave Collins a go.Dawson travelled as emg.Hasn't done his time at Peel. RTB said they went with Blakely instead of Barlow because of pace so can't see Barlow getting back unless Blakely has a shocker v Tigers.also Mundy is going to be played as the +1 in back half and used occasionally in midfield.

Something is up with Ibbo. It's only a theory, but I think RTB is asking the back half to work a bit differently this year, roll off their men a bit more, spread a bit differently, something ... whatever it is, Ibbo simply isn't getting it. He's miles off what he should be giving us.

Problem is, given who we're playing, it's going to be hard to drop him. Nobody at Peel is pushing. Sutty is also out of form and Tigers have a fairly tall fwd setup. Maybe we'd go Dawson for Ibbo, but that leaves us fairly short for this game.

Also agree entirely re: Clancee. Anybody demanding he be dropped are just playing favourites (well opposite of). 27 touches and most of them relatively clean. He also has a much better kick than MDB and Barlow who would be the only likely one's to come in for him.

Early games defenders were playing in front of their direct opponent by several metres and this seemed to throw Ibbo's compass way out.He missed and misjudged several marks which he would normally have swallowed. His intercept marking virtually ceased to exist.
Just awful judgement as though he did actually need his eyes tested.I guessed he was being asked to adjust to a method which was very different from both his natural game and what his role had been. This seems to have played havoc with his timing, ability to read the incoming ball and so his game has gorn to shite.
Bad time for the older crew to be losing form both for them and the club.

Outs:

Mzungu - Thanks for the years of service (and potential father sons) but not up to the level any more.
Sutcliffe - Used every credit in the bank and more. Performance so bad I truly felt sorry for him.
Hill - Injury.
Ibbotson - Said it a few times before, Spurr or Ibbotson for me. Igbo playing his way out atm whereas Spurr had a blinder.
Suban - Suban. In all seriousness though, would take Grey spudding up his disposals over Suban struggling to even find it.

Ins:

Pavlich - Automatic.
Sheridan - Give him a go in Hill's role. Don't expect him to set the world alight but I do feel it plays to his natural game.
Dawson - Lamentable but we lack proven kpp's. Send him to Griffiths.
Grey - Brings energy and enthusiasm to an otherwise listless side and we lose nothing in terms of grunt by replacing Suban with Grey.
Tucker - Straight into Sutcliffe's spot and role.

Spurr Dawson Tucker
Hughes A Pearce C Pearce
Sheridan Neale D Pearce
Weller Taberner Walters
Ballantyne Pavlich Mayne
Griffin Blakely Mundy

Clarke Grey Crozier Langdon

I tend to favour minimal changes given how things went for Peel.

Pav in for Clarke
Dawson in for Sutcliffe
Sheridan in for Hill.

Subes... sure you could drop him, and i'm not a fan of his, but who do you bring in who deserves it? Tucker is probably the default answer but maybe you wait for him to string together a couple more decent hit outs. Grey had a shocker so I wouldn't bring him in - especially on the back of Ross' 'integrity in selection' comments.

I'd rather play Barlow over Suban given where Suban lined up.

If Suban played off the contest a bit and used his left boot to put the ball down the ground more I will reverse my decison, I understand Suban isn't really fast enough to get outside.

Any chance we can see a tanner smith or apeness play? Dawson should come in. Would Collins debut as a 3rd tall defender?

If Clarke does get dropped. Do we bring hannath or does tabs play 2nd ruck or do we bring in Smith as a 3rd tall forward and chop out ruck?

Totally agree. Smith to take the place of Clarke and given instruction to crash every Tigers player and clunk as many marks as possible. Dawson to remain down back and make Jack's life miserable. Pav to sit in the goalsquare. Barlow to give some physicality to the midfield.

Out - Clarke, Hill ( inj ) , Langdon ( get some confidence ) . Mz ( sorry Gu , it's over )
In - Pav, Smith, Dawson, Barlow.

We lose this game and we are going to have to wait till The Dons to break the duck!

Don't mind Smith upgrade , but sending Clarke back to peel will delay apeness development. The problem now is all this role player will get beaten by WAfL well drilled team with their foot skill.

Collins would fit in well. Takes a great intercept mark and then kicks it straight to the opposition.
Don't be sarcasm :), but my first time see you lost your coolness here.

I went to the SFFC v Peel game yesterday and the guy showing the most intent by a mile for Peel was Brady Grey. Plenty to work with there.

Barlow 39 disposals but no influence on the game, unfortunately would add nothing to the team. De Boar would be more value.

Ape pretty average but that's to be expected after such a long lay off. Most of the younger guys showed a bit at times but they still need some time at Peel.

Except he would need to do it every time, not just once to fit in to our Freo back 6.
I'm still struggling to comprehend Sutty's performance yesterday. It beggars belief how many times he stuffed a kick.

It's annoying that he was still taking kick in's during the second half when it was clear he brought the wrong boots. Did our coaching panel/captain not think it was an issue?
