this sounds pretty good
i wonder if its too late to drop Anthony down back when he's struggling:(

PLEASE forget about Rusling people...he's got to be the most over-rated player on this board...

from what i remember of the lad, he was pretty much useless as soon as the ball hits the deck... and in light of the Saint's tight defence, he won't get the space he needs to run into.

IN: Prestigiacomo, McCarthy, O'Bree, Goldsack

Sidebottom Unluckiest :(

Why would you drop Sidebottom for McCarthy, that really makes no sense.

Out: Johnson, Anthony, ????.
In: Dawes (we need someone to throw some weight around up front and he seems the most likely candidate. Jack's not big enough to do it and seems to be playing at much less than fully capacity).
Goldsack (Only if 100 percent fit. This may sound crazy but i think he is our best option to try to curb Riewoldt. Is 193cm, quick and big leap. question mark on endurance. Has he been tried before? I can't remember it if he has)
Blight (the raps are big and why not throw him in at the deep end though i suspect Mick will wait until Anzac day. He loves doing that for some reason that completely escapes me.)

PRESTI WILL PLAY.:thumbsu::thumbsu::thumbsu::D

Well, that's what I'm reading into these comments anyway.:)

He trained today and I think he's a reasonable chance of getting up," Pies football manager Geoff Walsh told afl.com.au on Tuesday afternoon.

"It'll only be a six-day turnaround so any session on the track won't be that big anyway.

"He did what the medical boys wanted him to do today, so we'll just how he pulls up later in the week.

"He did everything that was asked of him today, so he's on target."

We are no chance of winning if he doesn't play, as shown by the first half and a bit of the NAB cup match.

Don't think Nathan Brown will be playing on him, that was the problem.

Oh yeah, and winning the ball around the ground really helps

Reid will get slaughtered as well

it won't take alot of ball sent to riewoldt and Reid and roo will have had 5 or 6 shots at goal and all of reids confidence shot. Did I mention our chances if winning gone too?

Presti on roo, Reid/brown on pattison/mcevoy, Harry on Goddard, toovey on schneider and heater on Milne. Maxwell in riewoldts space

calls for clokes and anthonys heads are horrible!. anthony needs 2-3 marks in the forward 50 to have 2-3 goals. cloke... well you'll see. he'll be a damn good chf this week. im tipping at least 5-6 shots on goal

While I'll acknowledge Cloke's stamina and work around the ground, when waws the last time he kicked 5-6 goals??

2008 against sydney... i think it was round 20. read my post a little better... im saying 5-6 shots on goal :P im hoping for 3.2 but knowing cloke its more likely to be 1.4 but even with cloke getting that many shots on goal the team is playing very very good footy

ahh, oops. right you are (thought 6 was a bit optimistic :D). 3.2 sounds doable.

Oh. :( Such a long, dull wait.

I never got the slow release of AFL teams.

The teams should be released 3 days before each game (Tuesday for Friday, Wed for Sat etc), because in the current climate, the teams selected are usually just a squad of 25 where any of the emergencies may play anyway.

Yes, if only for the purposes of discussion among barrackers.

Presti looks like coming in according to the CFC website. "Trained with no apparent discomfort."

Shaw and Fraser missed training but are up for selection. Personally I'm not so sure about Shaw. I think he did a slight groin in the first 5-10minutes of the first quarter. After a contest he put his hand up and waved to the bench and looked ginger. Played average for the rest of the game. I can see him being a late withdrawal.

Dawes, Macaffer, O'bree and McCarthy are all up for selection

Yeah from this on the AFL website it looks like he's ok.

What i thought was the best part of the article:

"“I think most sides struggle with Nick but we’re going to back our defence and hopefully we can shit down the ball use that comes in from their midfield and try to restrict them that way,” Pendlebury said."

So true!

I really hope they don't notice that spelling mistake and change it.
