A couple of ifs here but assuming Lycett gets a week for touching up Vickery and Wellers comes through the WAFL without any issues:

IN: Priddis, Wellingham, McInnes
OUT: Hutchings, Nelson, Lycett

Nelson out is a tough one for me - love his attitude but he's got a way to go in terms of composure. I think Butler edges him out based on the last couple of weeks. No doubt he'll get plenty more opportunities this year.

Priddis for Hutchings is straightforward - Hutch was serviceable but didn't set the world on fire. He's a victim of improved depth this year and I don't think we can carry all three of Priddis, Redden and Hutching in the same team.

McInnes ahead of Giles is honestly a bit of a guess having not seen any WAFL this year but I've liked what I've seen from Fraser and I'd be keen for him to get a chance.

In: Wellers, McInnes, Priddis
Out: Nelson (unlucky, though he was a touch untidy - love his vigour), Lycett (out for 1 week for hitting the TV), Hutchings

pretty much agree with op, hutch was ok but not sure he did enough to stay in and for the sake of team balance probably has to go.

Would rather McInnes then Lycett.

Depends how wellers go, but if he is good to go then get him in for Nelson.

It's hard because Hutch and Redden played defensive mid roles. They weren't in the same league as Yeo, Gaff and Shuey but I thought all our mids played their roles quite well tonight. Hutch and Masten still blowing out some cobwebs, Redden and Jetta still learning the WC way of playing. Mind you Jetta would have to be the most relaxed player with ball in hand in the AFL. It's like time slows down when he has the ball.

Sounds like everybody is on the same page.

Priddis comes back in for either Hutchings (who I thought was good - less than 60% time on ground but still had 5 clearances and 6 tackles) or Duggan (who was average, but plays a different role than Hutchings).

Nelson is playing the worst of the half backs, so he's out and Wellers is in.

Lycett is out for a week and presumably McInnes comes in.

Time slowed down a lot for me when Jetta kicked that ball a long way into the middle (toward Masten) only to have two Richmond players waiting there for the ball to come down. It was like watching a car crash in slow motion.

2 of his clanger in the last lead to goals, lucky we were miles ahead.

Out: Lycett (Susp), Duggan ("rest")
In: McInnes, Priddis

B: Butler, MacKenzie, Schofield
HB: Hurn, McGovern, Sheppard
C: Gaff, Priddis, Jetta
HF: Cripps, Darling, Masten
F: LeCras, Kennedy, Hill
R: Naitanui, Shuey, Yeo
I: McInnes, Nelson, Redden, Hutchings
E: Lamb, Cole, Duggan (traveling)

Duggan to go to Sydney and if he's not needed have the weekend off, think it'll do him good. Hutch holds his spot for now - if ever we needed an extra stoppage specialist it's against Sydney.

Wellingham to have a second week in the twos, think he's on limited minutes this week so let's see him get a full game under his belt before rushing him back.

I don't think redden is getting a free ticket- I think he's doing a bit off the ball defensively which is allowing shuey/yeo/gaff to play more attacking. Lovely finish in the last quarter. Hitting the scoreboard which is a plus.

For me, dependent on whether wellingham is fit. If so, nelson out, wellingham in.
Hopefully priddis is fit, so if so, then he replaces hutch.
If Lycett is suspended, then I reckon whoever plays better in the wafl between giles and McInnes gets the spot.

For all his faults Redden has 3 goals from 4 games.

Pretty decent scoreboard impact.

I also suspect Wellingham won't come in after 1 WAFL game.

Hutchings would be stiff to be dropped.

All being well-ingham will play next week against the Swans with McInnes to replace Lycett if suspended.

OUT: Nelson - sorry dude but I think a hit out with EP could be good, little fumbly tonight and lacked composure at times
Lycett - Swiped right at the spud farm when he should've swiped left.
**Hutchings/ Duggan** - Hutch is the straight swap out for Priddis but Duggan could do with a managed weekend off also.

IN: SWellingham - All will be swell down back. Back to our best back six?
McInnes - Tall player option A to combat Sincers and Tippett along with Nic Nat and maybe Gov. Don't think Giles would suit a game against the Swans at the SCG.
Priddis - Tonight was a perfect game for him to be managed and even without him we won by 10 goals.

Few more argument on Priddis selection or non selection...
  • His selection against Sydney is pending fitness firstly. From what I gathered out of Simpson's presser its not a given he'll be right to go.
  • Sydney is a long distance travel and are tough to beat home, given we aren't a great chance of causing an upset he may be rested again next week.
  • Not the end of the world if we lose to Sydney either.

Really don't want to see Nelson out, have become a massive fan of his this year after a great start for an 18 yo last year. Watch him a lot off the ball at home games, his has a lot of c*** in him. Went at Ballantyne and Walters all night last week and thought he held Walters well. Yes he has some brain fades with his decision making. Disposal is good just picks the wrong target or is too slow at times, but gee I enjoy the kid tough as nails.

Granted Wellingham is automatic, but competition for spots is great and I thought Butler was good tonight so he may be the victim of senior bodies against the Swans.

Unfortunately I think we'll go LWLW

Leaving us 5-3, hopefully with a % of 120 or thereabouts

Then we play Port at AO - need to win that to keep a buffer of two games imo. Gold Coast at home won't be easy.

Exciting times ahead. Possible heart seizures and the like.

Also on Redden i don't see him as a chance at all to be dropped. Mightn't be racking up the touches like he used to at Brisbane but its what he is doing defensively that is important and will keep him in the team short and longer term as well as how he is hitting the scoreboard offensively.

Actually thought Masten was superb to win that two-on-one contest.
Of course it didn't matter anyway.
