He's just the worst. There's no other way to describe Heals apart from "the worst".

I feel as though "the worst" covers all bases. His full-******ness, his over-excitedness and his non-stop talk.

Slater and Healy are dire. Taylor and Warne are good if they are paired with commentators that keep them on the straight and narrow.

Extremely true comment.

I think Healy is the worst professional commentator i've heard in any sport.

If they do they listen, if not they don't. Quite simple. People obviously do.

Go back to two commentators at a time. I think with three some of them feel there is less opportunity o be heard so just have to say 'something'.

I have to say, listened to ABC commentary for about an hour today and it was second to none

They do a remarkable job of keeping the airwaves ticking over with meaningful, informative commentary, somehow without repeating themselves and always having something interesting to say.

Working in their favour though I guess is the fact that they need to describe the intricate details of what is happening, because the listener cannot see it. That fills a few blanks. But nevertheless, top notch people who know their sh!z on the ABC.

They don't.

If they allowed the pictures to do the talking more, and talked less themselves as a result, they are less likely to come out with some of the crap that they do.

Yeah I tweeted about that...pretty sure the first criteria is being a Catholic, which Mandela was not.

Healy is by far the worst. Explains everything like everyone is 5 years old and has never seen the game before. Constant talking while the bowler is actually bowling the ball. Watching a bit of the South Africa vs India one day series they never do tis at all.

Also would much prefer to listen to Mcdonald and Agnew on ABC. Even they know to be quiet while the ball is being bowled!

same with afl commentary (on tv). might be an unfair comparison given that there is so much action, but ya know.

avoid the channel nine coverage as much as possible. taylor is likable enough but slater and healy should just get out of the box. slater is all right for the cricket show however.

good that they have got vaughan and bumble doing some commentary however

says something about the nine team though that i far prefer to listen to sky sports and the likes of botham, strauss, gower and hussain.

Yeah i watched a few minutes of sky highlights from day 4, nasser was blaming johnson for stokes slamming into him.
Flip it around and of course he would be talking about how it's the batsmens job to avoid the bowler.

To others that do this, which one gives you the less delay, AM 720 or Digital Radio Grandstand ?

There dont appear to be too many digital radios out there that pause live radio either , and Ch9 isnt on Fox in perth, so I cant adjust the tv speed either
