I love watching him play but as a person i see him as a money hungry pri*k if he wasnt playing the game for the money he would have gone to melbourne because apparently he was "die hard fan" of the red and blue but he didnt..
i mean seriously what kid doesnt want to play for his club when he is older?

You know, it's been nearly 5 months since Judd came to Carlton, and I'm yet to see any shred of proof that we offered more money than the other interested clubs. Enlighten me.

The best players in history have shaken the tag. I don't want to see elite players being quote "looked after" and having a different set of rules to everyone else. That's a joke.

There's a difference between doing something against the rules and a hard/skilled tagger. I enjoy the defensive side of the game.

If you want to just see elite players being given a free ride, I don't think you have your priorities on straight.

Absolute champion of the game , a perfect role model , great captain  what is to hate about this guy ? Guys like the Cornes brothers and Spida Everritt are the types that should be disliked...... Not an absolute legend of the game , that has many more years to offer us in viewing pleasure . He is not even half way through his career , and i already rate him above the two other best Midfielders i have seen ( Voss & Diesel ) He came home , many players have done it in the past ......:thumbsu:Your a legend Judd........

I have a question to the people who go " I hate him as a person"

Do tell us all how he hurt you on a personal level. Because unless you were a friend of his or hell, even met him that is undoubtedly one of the stupidest things I have ever heard.

You have no idea who he is as a person. You only know him from what you see in the world of football. So stick to that aspect people. Don't make yourselfs out to be petty about him leaving/ not choosing your club.

Hell there were articles in the newspaper ( Herald Sun) that were touting Judd going to Carlton around mid season.

I could not give a shit about any players personal life, that is none of my buisness. Explain what rights you have to make it yours.

It's funny how Carlton fans are suddenly experts on Judd and the Eagles. The fact is, you know nothing about Judd. You nothing about the Eagles. You know nothing about West Australia.

I could destroy every one of your silly comments but it has been done to death. Move on. Keep telling yourself how wonderful Carlton is and stay in your ignorant wilderness.

I'm so sorry. If the media are wrong, and everything they're saying about Ben Cousins et al (look it up) is incorrect, I retract all my statements.

I'm sure Chris would've loved to stay at West Coast. But the shambolic nature of the club gave him little recourse.

A player as good as him deserves better. (Whether he will find that at Carlton remains to be seen, because if you refer to the formguide, we're in a bit of trouble...)

I actually feel sorry for him.

Eventhough he won a premiership with the Eagles, I don't think thats the way he wanted to do it... He never really seemed one of the boys over here..

All the side issues were a horrible joke in his mind. A nightmare of publicity that has nothing to do with the game......

I think being one of the boys is what he is looking for at Carlton. One for all and all for one... Doing it to the bottom, is the best challenge.

That thats faith within a group.....Which equals Satisfaction.......Ahhhhhhh

You are so insightful, reading his mind etc, perhaps as he didn't want to do it that way he will hand his Premiership Medallion back or better still give it to Freo to fill the void in the trophy cabinet.

By the way this is a footy forum, "doing it to the bottom" may be one of the virtues you hold, but this is not the forum for your self expression. Freo doing it to the bottom since incorporation.

Excuse me?

If you actually think Judd left West Coast for money, your opinion on anything, not just football matters, is null and void.

Are you not aware that the club was an off-field basket-case and he was fed up with being the figurehead of a drug culture?

Are you not aware that he wanted to return home and spend more time with his family?

And, most importantly, Judd would've been able to get virtually the same money at any of the Victorian clubs, so don't really think he chose Carlton just for the cash. I'm pretty sure that Collingwood/Essendon/Melbourne would've tried their best to pay him what he deserves.

Judd leaving West Coast for the money = dumbest comment ever.

Melbourne could have offered the same but Collingwood couldn't and I doubt Essendon would have had that kind of space. No other vic club could have ofered the same cash.

I don't like the media circus Judd created around his move to Carlton or his continued vague comments suggesting he may never play again when he knows full well that he he will return in the first few rounds.

so i guess for the most of you that dislike him because he moved because of so called monetry values, you wouldnt leave your jobs if a better package came through then would you. I mean that would be mercenary like, or perhaps 2 faced if you do???

i question the merit on most of you...

Love watching him play.
He's a mercenary though, and I hope he never has any success at Carlton.

I think you, like many non-Carlton supporters, are just bitter. lol. Remember Judd was being offered exactly the same money at Carlton, Collingwood, Essendon and the Dees. Melbourne even made a public statement saying they could match ANY offer. Remember? The deal was around 800k to 1 mill dollars per year over 5 years, for the best player in the AFL. So Judd's decision came down to "other factors", which he actually outlined in his press conference. I'll list them for you:

1. Desire to be part of a highly talented young list, building from the ground up. Carlton wins easily. Not even close.
2. Wanting to belong to a Club with the best administrators. Carlton wins easily again. Lots of infighting happening at the Pies and Dons. Dees actually recorded a loss in 2007 when you factor in TJ's pay.
3. Wanting to be part of a Club with excellent facilities. Dees fail on this one big time. The Blues facilities will surpass the Pies over the next year or 2, due to massive cash injections.
4. Wanting to play in front of big crowds. Again the Dees fail on this criteria in a spectacular fashion. Sub 20k crowds at the G are hardly inspiring.

So basically, the Dees could raise the money, but failed on every other criteria. I actually thought Judd's approach to the move back to Victoria, was clear, consistent and sensible from day 1, despite all the media frenzy. He had 4 Clubs on his list, all met his salary requirement, and he met with all 4 only once, and made an informed decision. Didn't waste his time meeting basket case Clubs like the Tiges. At the end of the day, the Blues were the obvious choice.

:)

You know Millers incompetence gave the Blues a massive advantage in the Judd trade. Miller has been a complete disaster. :)

Miller was smart enough not to offer Moneybags the Moon.

Thank god we arent as desperate as Pratt and Carlton in general.

Everytime Ratten has a press conference with Judd he looks like hes about to wet himself. :thumbsu:
